Preface

Returning to the new cycle of ArtGemini Prize, it gives me great

pleasure to present the latest array of works by arsts who are taking

part in this years compeon. The diversity and range of talent on

display in submissions for the 2014 prize is truly astounding, and

hugely grafying for the organising commiee. Last years ArtGemini

Prize brought together a thrilling total of 744 works from 33 countries

across the world. This years tally is more impressive - with entriesfrom 44 countries. The internaonal response once again is a welcome

validaon of the raonale for the launch of this new prize.

The inaugural 2013 cycle was a culminaon of many months of

preparaon aer the idea of the prize was born. I am humbled and

honoured by the connued enthusiasc response this year by arsts,

art curators, partner organisaons and colleagues and friends.My thanks go to all those who have lent their generous support to the

prize including the Selecon Commiee and the sponsors of its

various elements.

I look forward to working with arsts, art organisaons and art

sponsors for the next edion, the ArtGemini Prize 2015.
