Competitor Mapping and Supplier Review

Conducted a competitor mapping of training and development initiatives across a select group of firms in London and New York. A supplier review was simultaneously completed to identify the best providers of training services for particular topics across both markets. The project provided a benchmarking for the client’s initiatives and budgeting as cost data was also included

Creating a Compliant Culture

Designed a three part programme for a universal bank looking to upgrade its European regulatory and compliance framework. This included a senior management forum to review the vision for corporate culture and to inspire managers to take a leadership role in realising change. Division-wide training on specific regulatory and compliance issues was rolled out. This was supplemented by compliance awareness sessions using case studies and role-playing by actors Psychology of Trading,Dr. Brett Steenbarger

This unique programme was designed for traders to provide an understanding of the behavioural and emotional patterns that accompany risk taking which would enable participants to identify common pitfalls under conditions of heightened risk and what to do about them. Through participant self assessment, participants could recognise personality and cognitive strengths and weaknesses enabling them to cope better with risk, anxiety, threat and stress

Equities Technical Training

A comprehensive technical training programme was designed for the entire European equities division in a global investment bank. Line management interviews were conducted and customised content utilising in-house resources was developed. The programme serves as a management and career tool. Following successful programme roll-out, the mandate was extended to New York

Associate Training Programme

A week long training programme was structured for newly promoted Associates in a mid-sized European investment bank. The format was designed to complement existing technical courses and encourage Associates to think more broadly about the firm and their role within the organisation. Sessions were highly interactive and incorporated line presentations. Skills emphasised included analytics, presentation and personal skills, and ethics in the context of daily business decisions

Talent Management

For a European investment bank, 360 consulting designed a year-long talent management programme consisting of monthly sessions which combined inspirational speakers, training courses, high-profile roundtable discussions, and culminated in a presentation to senior management

Key Personnel

Penny Walker Penny was admitted as a solicitor in October 1995 whilst in private practice with City firm Trowers & Hamlins. She has worked as a training consultant for several years specialising in the area of compliance and ethics and has designed and delivered regulatory and professional development courses for many of the world's top investment banks. Penny holds an honour’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southampton and obtained first class honour’s in the Law Society Final Examinations at Guildford College of Law.

Paul Evans Paul trained as a Chartered Accountant with PWC. After working for Schlumberger in treasury and in corporate finance, Paul began a career as a financial trainer in 1986. He set up the financial services division of BPP, the largest quoted training company in Europe where he was managing director. He then moved to HSBC as global head financial training. Paul has delivered training to over 70,000 professionals on 5 continents.

Laura FontaniLaura is a former Vice President of JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley bringing over twelve years of sales and management experience in the field of fixed income products. During this time, Laura managed the Fixed Income Sales team for JPMorgan in Brussels including direct coverage of key institutional clients in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. For Morgan Stanley in London she was responsible for Southern European institutional clients focusing on Italy and Greece. Clients covered include insurance companies, investment funds, banks and corporate treasurers. Laura now provides financial organisations with high quality, innovative training and consulting services aimed at optimising distribution capabilities in capital markets. Laura is a graduate of Columbia University and is bilingual in Italian and English and fluent in French and Greek.
