Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, popularly known as GITS was established by Geetanjali Education Society in the year 2002-03. The institute is recognized by AICTE and Govt. of Rajasthan and is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota to provide technical and professional education to the youth. The endeavor of GITS is to make higher education in the region more accessible to the society in order to create employment opportunities. It is one of the well known institute of Rajasthan with the focused objective to provide quality education in Engineering, Management and Computer Applications with emphasis on all round development of personality in compliance with the requisite industry standards.

In the new knowledge age intellectual competitiveness is essential for achieving the status of a leader. For this the quality education, more so with practical orientation is of paramount importance.

Engineering education involves a lot of conceptual approach along with clear fundamentals coupled with good practical understanding to deal with real world problems effectively and efficiently. Since the inception institute has not grown in its infrastructure but has also developed a lot in terms of academics and laboratories. A well balanced curriculum taught by qualified, skilled and experienced faculty developed the required skills in students necessary to meet tomorrow’s application.

Greetings to everyone! It has been an eventful year and the challenges we faced in realizing our vision remain significant, but the commitment from the faculty and staff has never been stronger. The response from students has been heart-warming, and as we have taken steps towards empowering them to be productive citizens of this country, they have responded with passion and vigor. Our students remain both our reason for being here and our greatest asset. Thank you for your continued patience and trust. It is our desire to move forward, to leave the chaos and disunity behind. It signifies tolerance, an acknowledgment of diversity, and a willingness to explore new ideas. I feel that we as a community must strongly embrace these ideals in order to realize our potential.

Change is a way of life. The staff and students at GITS are no strangers to change. In an effort to move forward and expand the horizons of the GITS family, numerous changes have occurred in the recent past and several more changes are yet to come. To quote Dr. Denis Waitley; “There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.”

Felicitating ExcellenceTIMES EDUCATION ACHIEVERS 2016: '

The Times Education Achievers 2016', an initiative by Times of India, honored GITS for the best Engineering College in Udaipur. The award was presented to Dr. M VenuGopalaRao (Principal, GITS) on 28th January in a glittering ceremony at Lakend Hotel of Udaipur.

Events And ActivitiesINTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE GITS-MTMI 2015

The College organized an international conference on Innovations in Science Technology, Management and Well Being with Modern Technology and Management Institute, USA in association with Academy of Well Being Society Udaipur on December 27th -29th 2015.The Inaugural Ceremony of the International Conference was graced by His Highness Maharaj Kumar ShriLakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur as the Chief Guest. The conference was gemmed with the amiable presence and leadership of eminent personalities like Prof. Kamal NayanAgarwal, Professor, Howard University, USA and Vice Chairman, Modern Technology and Management Institute, USA, Dr. SadanadSrivastava, Professor and Chair, Department of Computer Science, Bowie State University, USA, Dr. J. Mulki, Professor, North Eastern University, USA, Prof. P K Gupta, Director, Asia Division, MTMI, USA, Dr. A. Gadekar, Professor and Dean, Amity Institute of Higher Education, Mauritius, Dr. R D Pathak, Professor and Director, MBA, The University of the South Pacific, Suva, FIJI, Dr. D K Sharma, Professor, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, USA and many more. The ceremony marked the reections of the participants and around 125 papers were presented from all across the world.

INAUGURAL OF GITS WOMEN CELLIn compliance with the Vishakha guidelines set up by the Supreme Court in 1997, GITS established its Women's Cell for the women employees as well as the female students on 15th January 2016. The Cell was inaugurated by Mrs. ShwetaFageria, ADM and Additional Director of Women & Child Development. The patron of the Women's Cell, Mrs. GeetaAgrawal, the Advisory Committee headed by Ms. Kanika Agrawal, Ms. Shruti Agrawal, Dr. Ridhima Khamesra and Ms. Anjali Dhabhai, Coordinator, Women Cell GITS, set the objectives of the cell.

Glimpses of Science Fair

GITS conducted a National Sci-Tech Pro Café on 16 December, 2015 at college campus, giving an opportunity for senior school students to showcase their intelligence in designing engineering projects, models & posters. The first prize was won by Central Academy Sr. Sec. School, Chittorgarh, and second & third prize by St. Mary's Convent Sr. Sec. School Main Branch and Teetradi, Udaipur.

Blood Donation Camp in Campus

GITS & HDFC bank Ltd had organized a blood donation camp in GITS campus at 28 Dec 2015. The college conducted the camp with the help of Geetanjali Medical College, Udaipur. More than 100 students and faculty members donated blood for the blood seekers of society.
