1. History of C.E. Society.
M.B.Patel Science College is managed by Charotar Education Society, Anand, which was established on
16th April 1916 by the Gem of Charotar Shri Motibhai Amin Saheb with a view to developing higher education in the
Charotar Pradesh, the region between the Mahi and Vatrak rivers extending from Vasad to Kheda. The Constitution
of the Society was framed by Shri Vithalbhai Patel, the elder brother of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played an
active role in the preparation of the Indian Constitution. In the beginning the Society was managed by the two
brothers Shri Ishwarbhai J.Patel and Shri Vitthalbhai J.Patel. Shri Ishwarbhai J.Patel had been the Vice Chancellor
of international Universities as well as the Vice Chancellor of many Universities of Gujarat. Shri Vitthalbhai J.Patel
is in real sense, the Charotar Ratna. The Charotar Education Society is spread over 41 acres of land and has four big
campuses in which K.G. to P.G. education is provided to the students. The Society runs P.T.C., B.Ed., B.P.Ed., M.Ed.,
Arts, Commerce and Science degree colleges and has also started P.G. self-financed courses in Science, Arts &
Commerce. M.B.Patel Science College is authorized center for SCOPE DELL and Gujarat Knowledge Society (GKS),
initiatives of the State Government.

Mission, Vision and Goals / Aims of the College...VISION
To accelerate development of the society, by mainstreaming the education process
amongst deprived strata of the region (Charotar), and also by facilitating quality higher
education.
MISSIONTo facilitate access to knowledge by using education as an instrument for bringing in
change and progress, towards a bright future. To provide opportunity to hidden talent
and keep pace with technology.
GOALS \ AIMS1. To forge and sustain the ethics, principles and knowledge, thus develop a responsible
social youth.
2. To perform as a strong catalyst in building the youth for tomorrow.
3. To promote gender equality.
4. To make possible a flexible borderless curriculum for the students to strive in their
academics.
5. To motivate competitive urge in students.
6. To create quality education that will nurture curiosity and creativity.
7. To give education with value system and not to deny meritorious students because of
societal or economics discrimination.

F. Y. B. Sc.: Eligibility: A candidate who has passed the 10+2 examination of Higher Secondary Education Board or
its equivalent examination.
The students seeking admission to F.Y.B.Sc. class have to produce the following documents.
• Two Photo copies of 10th standard marksheet.
• Original Mark-Sheet of 12th Standard & its two photocopies
• Photocopy of the Attempt certificate
• Photocopy of the School Leaving Certificate
• Three recent pass-port size colour photographs.
• Caste certificate if applicable
• Residential proof.
• Photo copy of Adhar Card
• Photo copy of Ration Card
Students from other boards or states will have to produce the provisional eligibility certificate available from the Academic section of the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar by producing mark sheets.
Affidavit is required if the student has cleared 12th standard exam before March 2018.

College Rules z It is compulsory to wear the I-Card at all times while in the campus.
z Entry from the gate will not be allowed without the I-Card.
z Use of the cell phone is strictly prohibited in the campus. If caught using or misusing the device will be confiscated.
z Carrying and consuming tobacco, cigarette, bidi, gutka and other prohibited items will lead to suspension from college.
z Discipline, cleanliness and moral conduct to be maintained in the campus at all times.
z Damage to the college property will be recovered in cash.
z Attendance is compulsory on all working days and events. Absent and irregular students will have to attend extra lectures, appear for arrears and extra formative exams.
z Irregular students will not be given state transport and railway student concession forms.
z Only parents should accompany the student during the Parents Teacher meeting conducted after each formative exam.
