ACPS Blue & White Newsletter 4 29/06/2016 3/4H CLASS NEWS 3/4H have worked hard during a very busy term and have earned themselves a holiday. During Term 2 we have been studying British Colonisation. Students were interested and intrigued to learn about life in Australia before and after British Colonisation. Using the First Fleet Database allowed the students to gain an understanding of the types of crimes people were sent to Australia for. One of our tasks was to make a ‘Wanted Poster’, and we seem to have a lot of students and even teachers wanted for various crimes! Several students made Australian themed board games. The games were well made and we have enjoyed playing them. It was pleasing to listen to wonderful speeches that 3/4H prepared and delivered on Multiculturalism. Students spoke from the heart about their beliefs and understanding on the topic. Bush dancing each week has been a lot of fun. Students have enjoyed learning the Shearer’s Skip, Damper Stamp and Heel and Toe Polka. Our room is looking great with wonderful art displays. 3/4H created great illustrations using photos of clouds. We have also created some fantastic tessellating patterns and then decorated them to produce some eye catching artworks. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday. Congratulations to Chiyo who placed first in the 10 Year

Girls event at the Regional Cross Country Championships.

What a fantastic effort! Chiyo will now

represent the North West at the State

Championships which will be held in Emu

Creek next term. We wish Chiyo every

success at the next level.

Yesterday, the Boys’ Football team played

Kootingal in Round 3 of the PSSA
