Introduction

Report is all about the Axiomatic designing application in a Production and Manufacturing Environment. Initially some basic concepts related to Production and Manufacturing has been discussed in this report and then its designing techniques and applications are defined using the various methods of Research.

Production

Manufacturing is the production of merchandise for use or sale using labor and machines, tools, chemical and biological processing, or formulation. Finished goods may be used for manufacturing other, more complex products, such as aircraft, household appliances or automobiles, or sold to wholesalers, who in turn sell them to retailers, who then sell them to end users which are the consumers.

Electric Circuits In this design methodology we use matrices systematically in a way to analyze functional requirements of customer needs using transformation by design parameters and process variables .Design parameters (DPs) are related to functional requirements (FRs) The two axioms used in Axiomatic Design (AD) are: Axiom 1: Axiom Independence. Maintains the

independence of the functional requirements (FRs). Axiom 2: The Information Axiom. Minimize the

information content of the design.

Axiom #1 Independence Axiom

A good design is made up of design parameters that result in the independence of the functional requirements from each other. Where FR's are the functional requirements and DP refers to the design parameters. Of course, if a design parameter has no effect on a particular FR, the corresponding term inside square brackets will be zero.

Axiom #2) Information Content Axiom

Assuming that the corresponding DP is distributed normally about some mean, as shown in the figure below.

Conclusion

After all of the analysis we observed a great amount of work has been done on production and manufacturing system using Axiomatic Design Theory and more will be done as technology will advance. One of the concerned which we have observe that implementation of such design theory is quiet late and it takes time to get done because first reason is that it is time consuming and other is that it takes some time to take decision to go for which kind of design theory.
