Administrator, Social Enterprise
The Social Enterprise department offers a range of programs and services to support the human-animal bond and provide Humane Education to the community, while generating revenue in support of the Edmonton Humane Society’s mission. Reporting to the Manager, Education, Training & Retail, the Administrator supports the efficient operation of the Social Enterprise area, performing a broad range of administrative duties and providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Duties:
• Greet and liaise with visitors, volunteers and callers, providing exceptional service and support in all interactions, and representing EHS’ culture and values with a positive, professional approach.
• Process program registrations, payments and event bookings, supporting coordination and setup as required. • Perform a broad range of administrative functions, including drafting of communications and promotions, compiling
customer feedback, record keeping, and reporting. • Maintain supply inventory, including but not limited to general office supplies, stationary, and documents. • Maintain assigned areas, ensuring cleanliness and functionality of areas, supplies and equipment. • Coordinate and support a broad range of organizational programs and initiatives, including but not limited to team
engagement activities and events.
Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration is preferred • 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative capacity is preferred • Experience working in a non-profit organization is considered an asset • Experience in event coordination is preferred • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) with the ability to learn new software
programs • Excellent time-management and organizational skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential • Ability to adhere to confidentiality and handle sensitive information • Strong attention to detail and conduct work with a high level of accuracy • Ability to work with little supervision and take initiative • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing business needs
Conditions of Work: This work is subject to exposure to weather, animals or odors as well as potential exposure to aggressive animals.
