Introduction:-

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is a scheme launched by Government of

India for connectivity of Rural Habitation of + 500 Habitations (+250 population of

schedule-V areas) in the year 2000-2001 with Phase-I and subsequently sanctioning XII

Phases upto the year 2013-14. The Project Proposal for 42 road works of New

Connectivity and corresponding 4 bridge works proposal was submitted for approval of

Empowered Committee of Ministry of Rural Development, New Delhi. It was discussed

in the Empowered Committee meeting and the Empowered Committee has given

approval to the above project proposals. Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India

accorded approval for the proposal vide letter File No. P-17024/15/2015-RC (FMS-

340239), dated 12th July, 2017.

Resolution :

1. The project proposal of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Batch-I (2017-18) has

been cleared by the Ministery of Rural Development, Government of India vide letter

under reference No.2, dated 12th July, 2017. Accordingly the Government of

Maharashtra is pleased to accord Administrative Approval for the 42 road works of

New Connectivity and corresponding 4 bridges on these road works under PMGSY.

2. The project will be implemented by the Maharashtra Rural Road Development Association and expenditure will be done through the grants as released by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

3. The project should be implemented strictly as per Pradhan Maitri Gram Sadak Yojana guidelines, Operations Manual and Publications issued from time to time by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

4. Chief Engineer (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) and Superintending Engineer (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) will accord Technical Sanctions to the individual road works and bridges as per powers delegated vide RDD Mantralaya GR No.PMGSY-2009/CR-113/Yojana-8, dated 9th September 2010 & Rural Development Department, Government Resolution No. PMGSY-2012/CR-113/Yojana-8, dated 25th September, 2012.

5. The Chief Executive Officer, Maharashtra Rural Road Development Association and Chief Engineer (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) are Empowered to carry out e-procurement for tendering as per standard Bid Documents of Government of India and deciding tenders as per state practice.

6. Following points should be ensured before according technical sanction to individual road works:- (i) Required land is in possession (ii) The road is not going under submergence.

(iii) Road propose is as per Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana guidelines. (iv) Scope of the road is not included in any other scheme.

(v) Recheck the connectivity status of habitations included in the proposal.

(vi) Recheck the Bills of Quantity (BOQ) and Estimates

7. The district wise list of works details is enclosed as Annexure “A”.
