Dear Parents,

Season’s Greetings! Spring is in the air and festival of Holi is around the corner. But in the middle lie EXAMS, where each

child would try to achieve the best and we have to help them in doing so. Here are a few ways:

* Motivate them unconditionally, without over pressurizing

* Take care of their health and diet too

* Allow them free time 45 minutes for recreation every evening

* Minimise their use of television, internet and mobile phone

* GIVE THEM TIME

A brief insight into the happenings at ABHSS, Khor from October 2013 to February 2014.

This year has been a very eventful one for us. We have made great efforts to transform ourselves completely into the new

format and have been extremely successful in most of our endeavors. Apart from preparing the children to qualify for purely

academic demands, special efforts are being made continuously to enable them to face the challenges of the competitive

world. It’s a matter of great importance to us that the students who pass out from our portals should carry forward the values

they have inherited, excel in whatever they do and be Role Models in the society. We cannot forget the encouragement,

support and guidance from our Patrons, Parents, Students, Teachers and our Well Wishers. These blessings and support

helped us achieve a good year where we were able to teach our students “HOW to LIVE”.

Linguistic Skills: Special Communiqué programs in English Language have been organized from primary classes to

enhance the communication skills of the students. Their Spoken English part is quite satisfactory. Children are responding

well and being confident in expressing themselves.

Special Focus Sessions: To ensure that our students are equipped to face any challenge, we have focused sessions on

special topics including Disaster Management, First Aid and Health Education, Traffic Rules, Social Responsibilities,

Environmental Studies, Fire Prevention, Soft Life Skills, Leadership Skills, Career Planning and Development etc.

Smart Class: Computer Aided Learning in ABHSS was the dream of the new Principal. It was realized and given its full

shape this academic year. This dream has come true with the great help of Shri Chander Shekhar, Executive President

VCW and Shri R. K. Mohanty, Secretary of the school who provided all infrastructural facilities and technical support to

establish this project. We have incorporated a Digital Room with all modern equipments for the demonstration of Smart

Class. The SMART CLASS provides great support through Audio Visual approach in addition to the normal chalk and talk

method.

Discipline: We are of the firm belief that “The success is the outcome of discipline”. This is worth mentioning that

transparency of conduct and maintaining the dignity of the school has become the natural practice of the students of

ABHSS. No case of indiscipline was recorded in school during the academic year 2013-14.

Primary Section: Our primary section has adopted the learning by doing in real sense. Activity based learning has become

the integral part of their curriculum. Audio Visual aids were widely used to make the learning concrete. The school has

stationed a Kids’ Zone with variety of Slopes & Swings. This fun place has been used for the entertainment of small

children with the big scope of outdoor learning while playing.

Achievements: Amidst all the hectic school activities, there were several proud moments to encapsulate be it in the

Science Quiz or in Sports held at State or National Level that brought laurels to the alma mater. It’s a matter of great pride

that two of our students Gopal Singh Chhonker and Harish Gayari won the First Prize in State Level Science, Maths & Environment Quiz Competition, sponsored by M.P. State School Education & NCERT and organised by State

Education Centre, Bhopal, held in Ujjain from 27th to 29
