Supported Deployment Topologies The System Center Essentials management server, reporting

server, and console are all installed on a single computer. The reporting serveris installed on a different computerthan

the System Center Essentials management server.

A System Center Essentials console can be installed as astand-alone component on a computer other than the SystemCenter Essentials management server. Up to five remoteEssentials consoles can be used at a time.

Any System Center Essentials 2010 component can beinstalled on a domain controller.

System Center Essentials 2010 can manage computers ornetwork devices that are in a different domain from theSystem Center Essentials management server, as long as thedomains are in the same Active Directory forest.
