ADDENDUM #1 Information in this addendum takes precedence over original information. All other provisions of the document remain unchanged. Note to Bidders: Bidders are required to acknowledge all addenda on Appendix 1. The following additions, corrections and changes are hereby made to the above-referenced Invitation to Bid. ADDITIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS: Add the following item to the Scope of Services, Section 7, Additive Alternates: B. Remote Control Spotlight: The contractor shall furnish and install (1) Chauvet
Rougue R1 Spot Light or approved equal. Please see Appendix 9, Additive Alternate 2, Spotlight Specifications. Spot light is to be mounted up on the soffit at the far back corner furthest away from the stage. Provide 8-color wheel option. Price to include any electrical needed to power the spotlight and tie light into lighting control system.
All Bidders must return the attached ATTACHMENT C: REVISED BID FORM in the bid response submitted for this bid. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: 1. Q: What is the schedule for any events that might be taken place during project,
once we start into it certain functions won’t be available as we demo and install new system.
A: Working hours will need to be after 1:00 p.m. from May 12 through May 19,
2017. There is also an evening event scheduled for May 18 from 5 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. Normal working hours will resume after that time.
2. Q: If available can we get details on how light bar soffits in T-bar grid area are
constructed.
A: Please see Appendix 11, As-Built Drawings, A1/A3.12.
Bid #B17-24, HHS Stage Lighting & Sound Upgrades Page 2 of 2 Addendum #1 Clarifications
3. Q: If available can we get as built of stage area to determine as much of existing area as possible so we can make this as smooth as possible, (electrical/ architectural and structural would be nice).
A: Please see Appendix 11, As-Built Drawings. 4. Q: Do you have light spec for existing LED type L2 so we can determine if lights are
0-10V dimmable. A: Please see Appendix 10, Existing Cafeteria Lighting. 5. Q: Is there a height of installation figured for the light bars? A: Pendant the bar to 3’-6” below the ceiling. 6. Q: I am not seeing a count on spot types. E201 Has spots
1,3,5,7,9,11,14,16,18,20,23 (11 TOTAL) and note 7 calls out one part number which is a combination spot. I am assuming they are all the same type? Although in Bid documents there are 2 cut sheets on fixture types and in Scope of services, section 3 lighting system and connectivity, Part d lists “Lights will be a combination of flood, ellipsoidal, Fresnel, strip, or baton and moving lights will be used to light the front, down, and back of the stage are. Include gobo designs and gel colors for lights. It seems like a lot for one light type to do!
A: Fixture quantity is eleven (11) as indicated on sheet E201 of Appendix 6, all CSSPOT455-0, or approved equal. Light bars, power, controls, cabling, relay panel, etc. are all included in the base bid. Structurally, the system must be equipped to handle twenty-four (24) light fixtures (these are the future fixtures indicated on the drawings) to enable the structural engineer to do his calculation.
