ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR A DESIGN AND BUILD PROJECT FOR THEATER 320 FURNISHING UPGRADE RFP NO. 2020-1 DATED: February 12, 2020 This Addendum 1 to RFP No. 2020-1 serves as notice that we are reopening the submission due date, and revising specific terms, as detailed below. This Addendum adds and clarifies sections of the Request for Proposals for a Design and Build Project for Theater 320 Furnishing Upgrade (the “RFP”), as it pertains to Appendix A Scope of Work, and to the RFP. All other specifications, terms, and conditions not addressed by this or other formal addenda issued by HCC remains unchanged. I. RFP A. RFP Title Change The title of RFP No. 2020-1 shall be changed to THEATER 310 AND THEATER 320 FURNISHING UPGRADE. B. TO REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

A DESIGN AND BUILD PROJECT FOR THEATER 320 FURNISHING UPGRADE

RFP NO. 2020-1 DATED: February 12, 2020

This Addendum 1 to RFP No. 2020-1 serves as notice that we are reopening the submission due date, and revising specific terms, as detailed below. This Addendum adds and clarifies sections of the Request for Proposals for a Design and Build Project for Theater 320 Furnishing Upgrade (the “RFP”), as it pertains to Appendix A Scope of Work, and to the RFP. All other specifications, terms, and conditions not addressed by this or other formal addenda issued by HCC remains unchanged. I. RFP

A. RFP Title Change

The title of RFP No. 2020-1 shall be changed to THEATER 310 AND THEATER 320 FURNISHING UPGRADE. B. RFP Section 1.1

Section 1.1 of the RFP shall be replaced in its entirety with the following:

1.1 DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS

Proposals MUST be submitted via Scout no later than 4:00 p.m. HST on March 27, 2020.

Facsimile and email proposals are not acceptable.

Proper delivery of the proposal is the sole responsibility of the Offeror.

C. RFP Section 1.4

Section 1.4 of the RFP shall be replaced in its entirety with the following: 1.4 PROCUREMENT TIMETABLE and SIGNIFICANT DEADLINES

D. RFP Section 3.4

Section 3.4 of the RFP shall be replaced in its entirety with the following:

3.4 SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS Each Offeror may submit only one (1) written proposal, addressed to the Contracting Officer via Scout no later than 4:00 p.m., HST, on March 27, 2020, the "Proposal Due Date", identified in paragraph 1.4 of SECTION 1. Proposals received after this time/date may be rejected.

E. RFP Section 3.6.6

Section 3.6.6 of the RFP shall be replaced in its entirety with the following:

3.6.6 EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION PLAN Offeror must submit a proposed Equipment List and Installation Plan as well as an Installation Schedule for the Hawaii Convention Center. It must include, at a minimum, a comprehensive description of the plan which will be utilized to comply with the Scope of Work required by the RFP.

Contractor may include options in its proposal that include alternative designs, equipment, methods and/or materials that address the scope of work provided herein. If the Contractor includes alternative designs, equipment, methods and/or materials, the Contractor shall specify the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed alternative designs, equipment, methods and/or materials as it relates to the repair, upgrade, renovation, or improvement of the equipment and specifications.

In all other respects, the RFP shall remain unchanged.

II. Appendix A Scope of Work

A. Overview of Scope:

The Overview of Scope shall be replaced in its entirety with the following: The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of the existing carpet, the flooring on the stage and in the storage area, as well as removal and replacement of the drapes in Theater 310 and Theater 320. The scope will also include pre-construction investigations as required to determine correct specifications, and sizing. The scope is to include acquisition of permits or licensing as needed. Procure Design and Build services to provide a complete turn-key project to replace the carpet, stage and storage flooring and the drapes in Theater 310 and Theater 320.

B. Project Scope of Work Section C(2)(d) of the Scope of Work shall be replaced in its entirety with the following: Final selection of carpet, flooring and fabric design will be made after the award of the contract. HCC will be replacing all theater seating and the selection of the chair fabric will impact the selection of the materials for this RFP.

C. Principal Work to Be Performed

Pursuant to the Theater 310 Seating Upgrade RFP and the Theater 320 Seating Upgrade RFP,

the seating in Theater 310 and Theater 320 will be removed prior to the installation of the carpet

and flooring; therefore, Section D(2)(b)(1) shall be amended as follows:

Removal of fixtures as needed to facilitate installation of carpet.

Pursuant to the Theater 310 Seating Upgrade RFP and the Theater 320 Seating Upgrade RFP,

the seating in Theater 310 and Theater 320 will be removed prior to the installation of the carpet

and flooring; therefore, Section D(2)(b)(3) shall be amended as follows:

Replacement of fixtures to pre-installation locations.

D. Submittal Section D(4)(b) shall be replaced in its entirety with the following:

1. Provide field investigation of all existing conditions.

2. Report findings and recommendations based on field investigations

and surveys.

3. Provide product cut sheets for all products and materials.

4. Provide recommended application and installation methods as well

as an installation plan.

5. Complete shop drawings of all work as required by the technical

specifications.

6. Provide elevations and detailing plans.

7. Provide a plan for stair step edge for safety.

E. Building Section – for reference only The Building Section picture showing the Theater 310 shall be added to the Scope of Work.
