C3 Photos of existing cranes and hoists at several of the water and wastewater pump stations are attached to this addendum and are being provided to assist bidders with an understanding of the types of cranes within the system. Q2 Can the Owner provide key span, height, length and building plans and profiles for locations that have 10 Ton and above cranes?

A2 Yes, the requested information will be compiled and all available data will be provided via Addendum No. 3.

Q3 Can the Owner provide clarification on cranes that have motorized trolleys versus cranes that have non-motorized trolleys?

A3 Yes, the requested information will be compiled and all available data will be provided via Addendum No. 3.

Q4 Can the Owner provide clarification on cranes that have remote control versus cranes that do not?

A4 Yes, the requested information will be compiled and all available data will be provided via Addendum No. 3.

Q5 Can the BID SCHEDULE be modified to offer initial, monthly, semi-annual and annual crane inspections by size and type as discussed during the pre-bid meeting?

A5 Yes, see the attached revised BID SCHEDULE.

Q6 Can the Owner provide a copy of the sign-in sheet from the pre-bid meeting held on January 28th at the FWH WRC?

A6 Yes, see attachment to this Addendum.

Q7 It is my understanding that after the initial inspections are completed that any repairs needed will be done using the quoted hourly rates. Then the regular inspections will be completed as needed, is that correct?

A7 Yes, however, if necessary, GCDWR reserves the right to delay repairs due to budget limitations and funding allocations.

Q8 Is the crane and hoist list provided with Addendum #1 the entire asset list? A8 The provided list is believed to be inclusive of all cranes and hoists within the

GCDWR facilities. However, other County Departments may utilize this contract for work on their facilities. The number and size of other Department’s facilities is unknown, but is believed to be only a few compared to the GCDWR facilities.

Q9 Are all cranes at one facility? If not, what assets are at what facilities? A9 No. See Facility Location list on page 2 of the Invitation to Bid. The list of cranes

provided with Addendum #1 provides a general breakdown of the location of the various cranes. This list may not be a complete list of assets.

Q10 What is the frequency of inspections (monthly/quarterly/annually)? A10 See Invitation to Bid, pages 4 & 5, Specifications, Item II.B & C and Bid Schedule.

Provide documentation indicating the biding firm is an authorized service provider of the crane manufacturers identified above. Bidders should submit a maintenance checklist similar to the examples provided in Attachment A as part of the quote document.

Certification of Non-Collusion in Bid Preparation Signature Date

Gwinnett County requires pricing to remain firm for the duration of the initial term of the contract. Failure to hold firm pricing for the initial term of the contract will be sufficient cause for Gwinnett County to declare bid non-responsive. Contract to begin on March 03, 2015 or upon approval by the Board of Commissioners.

If a percentage increase will be a part of this bid, please note this in the space provided together with an explanation.

Termination for Cause: The County may terminate this agreement for cause upon ten days prior written notice to the contractor of the contractor’s default in the performance of any term of this agreement. Such termination shall be without prejudice to any of the County’s rights or remedies by law.

Termination for Convenience: The County may terminate this agreement for its convenience at any time upon 30 days written notice to the contractor. In the event of the County’s termination of this agreement for convenience, the contractor will be paid for those services actually performed. Partially completed performance of the agreement will be compensated based upon a signed statement of completion to be submitted by the contractor, which shall itemize each element of performance.
