AD HOC COMMUNITY PARK COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

DATE: Thursday, August 8, 2019 TIME: 5:30 p.m. LOCATION: Greenville Town Hall, W6860 Parkview Drive, Greenville, WI 54942 1) CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL

The meeting was called to order by Keith Voss at 5:33 pm. The following individuals were present: Tony Nowak, Gerry Skalla, Greg Roblee, Kathy Kline and Keith Voss.

2) NEW BUSINESS

2.a Minutes from July 31, 2019 Meeting 20190731_CPCminutes.pdf

The Minutes from the July 31, 2019 were presented.

A motion by Greg Roble/Gerry Skala to approve the minutes as presented passed unanimously by voice vote.

2.b Discuss Survey Results Survey Results Data Summary.pdf A general discussion took place regarding the similarities between the survey results and the public input meeting results. Time was also taken to study the numbers from the survey.

2.c Discuss Public Input Meeting Results Public Input Notes.pdf As referenced above, a general discussion took place comparing the results of the survey and public input meeting.

2.d Discussion of Ideas for Community Park Capital Improvement Plan We decided our first plan of action would be to each state what we saw as the top priorities. From there we narrowed the field to the Ad Hoc Committee’s top priorities which are as follows:

• New Playground-Splashpad • New Pavilion with restrooms that are ADA accessible • Trail Improvements-connect the existing trail • Basketball Court • Ice Rink

The discussion continued identifying some of the underutilized areas of the park:

• Sign space • Green space behind the fields

It was agreed upon that our next step will be to have Tony Nowak address contracting with Cedar Corporation via the Town of Greenville contract and put together a Conceptual Plan.
