ETXEBERRIAEtxeberria creates his signature fashionlabel in 2008. The Basque creator, speciali-zed in menswear, participates in 2011 in theplatform for young designers EGO Merce-des-Benz Fashion Week Madrid achieving,two consecutive times, the award for bestcollection.

After presenting his creations in global run-ways and trade shows; such as Pitti Uomoin Florence, since 2012 Etxeberria is part ofthe official calendar of Mercedes Benz Fas-hion Week Madrid. During the year 2013,the brand was selected to represent Spain inthe second edition La Maison de la Créationde Marseille.

MIGUEL MARINEROMiguel Marinero began his career in the de-sign world in the 70s. His forty years experience makes him one of the keyfigures of Spanish furriery.

Miguel Marinero opened his first atelier inMadrid in 1982, after designing high-end fu-rriery collections for Irueste, El Corte In-glés and Cortefiel.

In his workshop in central Madrid he crea-tes exclusive garments and leather accesso-ries in an artisan manner. His designs areshowcased since 2007 on the runway Merce-des-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

Pepa Bueno takes over in ACME from LuciaCordeiro. The new director of the Associationis an Art Historian, specializing in HistoryDesign. She has developed her professional ca-reer in the field of women's and fashion maga-zines. After stages in media such as Woman,Elle and Vogue Brides, among others, she waspart of the launch team of Yo Dona (UnidadEditorial), where she served as appointed As-sistant Director for eight years.

LUXURY “MADE IN sPAIN” 5th June 2013

The Asociación de Creacores de Moda deEspaña organized, with the Chamber ofCommerce Spain-USA, and with the colla-boration of the Community Madrid theroundtable Luxury "Made in Spain", a de-bate on Spanish crafts, its positioning andentry into the North American market.

The encounter, held at the centre Juan Car-los I of Spain in New York, counted withthe presence of Loewe, label founded in Ma-drid and emblem of Spanish luxury at aglobal level, represented on this occasion byEnrique Loewe. sAINTs BY ZURBARÁN: DE-VOTION AND PERsUAsION3rd May – 20th July 2013

Ten ACME creators participate in the exhi-bition Saints by Zurbarán: Devotion andPersuasion, an exhibit curated by Elio Ber-hanyer showcased in the space Santa Clara,Seville.

The female Saints by Zurbarán exerted aninfluence in other artists and their dressagehas always been a powerful source of at-traction for designers.

The exhibition unites 17 Santas painted byFrancisco de Zurbarán, proceeding fromprivate collections and various local andglobal museums, with the interpretation ofthe Zurbarán elegant style by the designers:Elio Berhanyer, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada,Ana Locking, Angel Schlesser, Devota &Lomba, duyos, Francis Montesinos, Hanni-bal Laguna, Roberto Torretta, and Victorio& Lucchino, among others.

FAshION Is DREAM: 25YEARs OF sPANIsh TALENT25th October 2012 – 13th January 2013

The exhibition Fashion is Dream, inaugura-ted in October 2012, could be visited duringthe first days of January 2013. This exhi-bit, organized by the General Division forPromotion of the Fine Arts of the Secre-tary of State for Culture and the Museo Ce-rralbo of Madrid, with the participation ofACME, magazine Marie Claire in its 25thanniversary in Spain and sponsored byMango, was curated by Lucia Cordeiro andIsabel Vaquero. NANCY DREssEs UP IN FAshION26th September 2013 – 19th January 2014

To mark the 45th anniversary of the launchof the Nancy doll, the Museo del Trajehosts an exhibition in which 25 Spanish cre-ators dress the iconic doll. This celebration is a joint initiative of theMuseo del Traje, the toy company FAMOSA and ACME.

The Museo del Traje showcases new piecesin its section "Runway" due to the agree-ment signed with the Asociación Creadoresde Moda de España (ACME), whereby Spa-nish designers donate to the Museum thecreations made for the exhibition 20 Costu-mes for Russia: Designers dialogue with Li-terature, organized by ICEX, the Ministryof Culture, the Instituto Cervantes andACME on occasion of the Dual Year Spain-Russia. The garments are showcased in thesection "Runway" of the museum, in an ex-hibition that is renewed every six months.

MADE IN sPAIN: CREATING FAshION FOR ThE WORLD 20th – 22nd September 2013

ACME and the Embassy of Spain in the United Kingdom presented the exhibition Madein Spain: Creating Fashion for the World, which could be seen at the residence of the Am-bassador of Spain in London from 20th to 22nd of September and that showcased thepath and evolution of Spanish contemporary fashion. London, a city noted for its innovative and avant-garde vision, hosts this exhibition coinci-ding with the open days, OPEN HOUSE, allowing the British public to visit the facilitiesof this historic building in number 24 of Belgrave Square and get to know close up todayscreation of fashion in Spain. Many celebrities gathered at the Ambassador's Residence due to the occasion of the inau-guration of the exhibition. The Hon. Mr. Federico Trillo-Figeroa received the many atten-dees among which highlighted was the presence of the creator Manolo Blahnik; MiriamClegg, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom; Mr. Carlos Falco, Mar-quis of Griñon and President of the Círculo Fortuny; Armando Branchini, President ofECCIA and Executive Director of the Altagamma Foundation; Luis Eduardo Cortés, Pre-sident of IFEMA; musician José María Cano, and the designers Agatha Ruiz de la Prada,Carmen March, Modesto Lomba, Miguel Palacio and Roberto Etxeberria, among others.

ACME collaborates with Adecco and theAcademia de Cine to promote the work ofyoung creators and call a design competi-tion for the uniform of the “givers” of theGoya 2014.

Modesto Lomba, President of ACME; An-drés Aberasturi, Director and Creator ofEGO; Tatiana Hernandez, Member of theBoard of Directors of the Academia deCine in the apparel category, and MargaritaAlvarez, Director of Marketing and Com-munication of Adecco make up the jury.

Of the more than 70 candidatures received,the members of the jury choose the propo-sal of the young designer Raquel Galvez,who made the costume of the two boys andthe two girls who carried out the job of as-sistants to the “givers” in the celebratedSpanish film gala in February 2014.

The Asociación Creadores de Moda de Es-paña collaborates yet another year with thesoup kitchen of the Order of Malta in Ma-drid due to the initiative of Yo Dona maga-zine.The designers Miguel Marinero and AlmaAguilar, and the new Director of ACME,Pepa Bueno, lent their support to preparesome 400 meals that were distributedamongst those in need.

hEART PILLOWsjune 2013

ACME collaborates with the Asociación Es-pañola Contra el Cancer. The designers ofthe Association make use of the fabricsused in their collections to make heart sha-ped pillows for those women who under-went a mastectomy.

Due to its shape, these cushions aid reco-very in the post operation in breast surgery.This initiative arose in 2011 in United Sta-tes and has extended throughout Europe.In Spain 70 volunteers have been in chargeof making 500 cushions that have been dis-tributed amongst women with breast can-cer.

The 11th edition of 080 pays tribute to An-drés Sarda, reviewing the history of the lu-xury lingerie and swimwear brand, with afashion show of the label’s iconic designs,accompanied by the performance of inter-national dancer Angel Corella. Nuria Sarda,daughter of the creator and current crea-tive director of the brand, collected theaward dedicated to her father.
