1 ActiveCampaign: Form Creation This tutorial includes 2 parts… one is creating the form in ActiveCampaign and the second is uploading it to your WordPress site. Create a form in ActiveCampaign: Click on Forms then click on “New Form” Name your form {we typically choose the automation name that goes with the form} Select the List that this form and associated automation the contacts will go to. Select Form Style {we typically use Inline Form} Click Create

ActiveCampaign: Form Creation

This tutorial includes 2 parts… one is creating the form in ActiveCampaign and the second is uploading it to your WordPress site.

Create a form in ActiveCampaign:

•   Click on Forms then click on “New Form”

•   Name your form {we typically choose the automation name that goes with the form} •   Select the List that this form and associated automation the contacts will go to. •   Select Form Style {we typically use Inline Form} •   Click Create

•   Hover over “Subscribe for Email Updates” and click the x

•   Do the same for “Add a descriptive message telling what your visitor is signing up for here.” Hover over it and

click the x o   We delete these as we add the form to an opt in page on our website that gives all of the info. We just

need the Name, Email and Submit button •   On the right hand side, in the Fields section, drag First Name to the Full Name section of the form as

we only request first names here at iBloom

•   On the right hand side, click Style

•   At the bottom {scroll down if you need to}, turn “OFF” AC Branding

•   In this same section, you can change the colors. Our most common change is the color of the “SUBMIT” button and the text on the “SUBMIT” button.

•   On the right hand side, click Options

•   If you have a Thank You Page set up on your website {which we strongly recommend} click on Show Thank You and select Open URL in the drop down menu

•   Then paste your Thank You Page URL

•   In the Form Action section click the next to the list you selected for the contact to be subscribed to

•   Turn OFF the “Opt-in Confirmation” button

•   On the same Form Action section, click on “+ Add Action” button

•   Select “Add a Tag”

•   Type in the tag that is associated with the automation you would like to have the contact to have then click Add •   We don’t like the word submit on our forms and will typically change it to “Instant Access” or “Reserve Your

Seat”, etc. To make that happen, click on the “submit” button on the form itself.

•   On the right hand side, a new panel will open up.

•   Type in what you would like your “submit” button to say under Label.

Your form should now look like you want:

•   Click the “Integrate” button

Upload the ActiveCampaign Plugin to your WordPress site If you have not uploaded the ActiveCampaign plugin to your WordPress site already, then do the following. *If you have the plugin already installed, then skip to the “Put YOUR new form on your opt in page section” of this tutorial below.

•   Click the “WordPress” button

•   Click the green “Download plugin” button. This will download a zip file of the plugin.

•   Go to your website, log in and hover over “Plugins” then click on “Add New”

•   Click on the Upload Plugin box

•   Choose file to upload

•   Click “Install Now”

•   Go back to ActiveCampaign and click on “Get Started”

•   ActiveCampaign gives you step by step directions on how to activate your plugin for WordPress

Put YOUR new form on your opt in page •   In ActiveCampaign click the “Save & Exit” button •   In your WordPress dashboard, hover over settings and click on ActiveCampaign

•   Click the “Update Settings” button •   Once it has updates, scroll down to find the new form you created. •   Click on the box in front of the form title

•   Then click on the box “Keep original form CSS”

•   Click “Update Settings” box •   Go to your Opt In Page and “Edit Page” •   On the backside, put your cursor where you would like your form to go on the page. •   Select the Active Campaign logo

•   Click the Form title

•   Now click Publish •   Congratulations! You now have a working form. Make sure you test it out.
