When verbs that take both a direct and an indirect object in the Active Voice are changed to the Passive.

The guard refused him admittance. Admittance was refused to him by the ground.

The manager will give you a ticket. A ticket will be given to you by the manager.

Passive.- I shall be obliged to go.

Active :- It is said that the company is bankrupt.

Passive :- The company is said to be bankrupt.

Active: You can't do anything about it.

Passive: Nothing can be done about it.

Active: People use electricity for all kinds of purposes.

Passive: Electricity is used for all kinds of purposes.

Active: They're building some new houses.Passive: Some new houses are being built.

Active: They say that elephants have good memories.

Passive: It is said that elephants have good memories.

Elephants are said to have good memories.
