ACE MV EMPLOYER RESOURCE
A GUIDE TO WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING
Mission
To enhance the Island as an economically viable and culturally rich place to live and work
ACE MV on Martha’s Vineyard Spring: late January - May Fall: late Sept. - December Type: 501 (c) (3) private non-profit Classes: 62 (this FY) Students: 3,579 (since 2014) EIN: 26-3371336 Phone: (508) 693-9222 Email: [email protected] Mailing: 455 State Rd., PMB 105 Vineyard Haven MA 02568 Location: MVR High School, #504
Originally begun in 2008 as an enrichment provider offering dance, computer, and culinary classes, ACE MV shifted its mission five years ago to provide Martha’s Vineyard with workforce development and training opportunities. We are now the only entity on the Island providing certificates, licenses, CEUs, PDPs, and degrees in business, education, trades, technology, renewable energy, and language and literacy. We aim to make learning on Martha’s Vineyard convenient and rewarding.
Thanks to our partnerships with regional trainers and higher-ed institutions such as Fitchburg State University, Cape Cod Community College, and Bristol Community College, Island employers have a wide range of educational services available to their employees. Contact us to register your staff for our scheduled trainings or to create a customized class to suit your needs. “…Employers should remember about training that it offers them an improved retention rate. Employees are more loyal to companies that value their growth and want to cultivate it, and thus provide a better performance and decrease the rollover rate at any company, no matter how small or large.” (HeavyLift Magazine) ACE MV is constantly adding new programs and we welcome feedback about your training needs.
