SUWANEE, GEORGIAThe City of Suwanee is
soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contrac-tors for IRRIGATION WELL PROJECT FROM SUWANEE CREEK TO TOWN CENTER. Sealed bids will be received by the City of Suwanee, Public Works Department, 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee, Georgia 30024, until 10:00 A.M. local time on February 11, 2013, and then publicly opened and read aloud at the “Public Bid Opening” at 10:10 A.M. at City Hall Building Confer-ence Room, 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee, Georgia 30024. Any bid received after 10:00 A.M. will not be ac-cepted. Bid envelope must be marked on the outside with Bid Number, Name of Bidder, date and time of opening and Contractor’s License Num-ber. Failure to display infor-mation may result in the bid being returned.
The major extent of the project consists of installing a well pump in an existing well near Suwanee Creek and running a 3-inch force main approximately 2,500 feet to connect to the existing irriga-tion system at Town Center. A control panel will be installed next to the walkway along Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road to control the system.
The City of Suwanee is requesting a bid for the at-tached various work ele-ments required under the proposed Contract including pump, force main, control panel, dress-up, grassing, etc. work.
Bids in the case of Corpo-rations not chartered in Geor-gia must be accompanied by proper certification stating that said Corporation is au-thorized to do business in the State of Georgia.
Award will be made to the vendor submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The City of Suwanee re-serves the right to reject any or all bids as deemed in its best interest.
