Academic Year 2014-15 PDIS/HAP/KG/VOL .2
The most important function of education at
any level is to develop the personality of the
individual and the significance of his life to
himself and to others.
Grayson Kirk
We strongly feel that by such field visits not only the personality of the child but also his
own significance is developed. Congratulations !

Base your food on carbohydrates.
Eat fruits and vegetables with each meal and tasty snacks.

Snack attack! Eat regu-larly and choose a variety of healthy snacks.

Stress Management
We think that children don’t have stress but it’s not true. Children display stress very differently than an adult does. Often kids’ stress is internalized and most noticeable in physical symptoms like headache, stomachache, nausea, bed-wetting, frequent, crying and sudden behavioral changes. It simply indicates a child’s inabil-ity to handle a stressful situa-tion. Helping Kids to Reduce Stress
Spend time with your child and let them ventilate their negative emotions.
Gentle physical touch is a great healer. Sometimes a hug is worth more than a thousand words.
Motivate your child to discuss about his problems by asking open ended questions
Teach your kids that eve-ryone makes mistakes.
Exercises and play can help to reduce stress. Moti-vate them to play out door games.
Help your kids recognize
and manage their stressors. (To be continued…..)

Message from Gladiolus coordinator
Dear Parents, By now all our little, dynamic Gladiolus have very well settled in PDIS. We are happy to observe that : They
have understood the importance of friends and role played by the family members in their life. They are very curious about the task allotted to them.
We do see that they are enjoying learning at PDIS. For better communication, we once again request you to go through the diary (Almanac) everyday so that you are well updated. We need to do this regularly as these little ones are still developing their proper communication skills.
