  • Supposed Causes of AbsenteeismWork Pressure When the work pressure goes up, absenteeism rate too will go up.Relationship with Superiors Employees, especially junior positions would rather not report to work in a bid to avoid confrontation with their demanding bosses or as an act of defiance.Job Satisfaction Absenteeism will occur when employees level of satisfaction is lower than what they would accept in their daily work.

  • Employees can be of two types mainlythose who are on temporary bases and the permanent staff in both the scenarios.BE OPEN AND LET THEM FEEL FREE TO TALK TO YOU.

  • Following are some of the solutions for frequent absence of the employees:examine the workplace environment.Is the work repetitive? If yes then provide incentives.Have a strict sick leave policy.Listen to employees reason behind the leave.Give warnings and in extreme cases terminate them from their job.

  • But what if the organization cannot afford to terminate them?If the employee is a permanent staff, try working on an improvement plan together with them as you yourself or the other staff might be the reason behind the absence.
