In 1997, President Glenn German bought a small

amount of equipment and began manufacturing roof

trusses as a one-man show in Airdrie.

The motto then was to provide high quality

engineered wood products with the fastest

turnaround times in the industry.

With a willingness to do whatever it took to please

his customers, sales took off, and his operation grew

to add more workers and a new workshop.

In 2005, Jaspal Bhandal became Vice President

to add his leadership and production expertise to

the company. ZyTech then continued to grow with

the addition of Sales, Production, and Engineering

Centers in Red Deer, Leduc, Stoney Plain, Airdrie,

Saskatoon and a Multi-Family/Commercial division

located in Calgary. In 2014, ZyTech entered into the

greater Phoenix area offering a full service design,

production and supply facility. As opportunities

become available ZyTech is committed to ongoing

investment in people, equipment and new locations

that allow us to continue to serve our valued customers.

connector plates. ZyTech designers use MiTek engineer

approved software to ensure the accuracy and quality

We also carry finger- jointed lumber, which is

becoming a desired product in the industry’s

selection of engineered wood products. Its increased

ZyTech also carries a variety of miscellaneous

materials such as insulation, poly, adhesives,

hangers, fasteners, and more.

In-house lumber estimating services are also
