new Sustainable Development post-2015 emphasize the importance of global partnerships for

development. Holding people at the center, our methodology stimulates our international

exchange fosters leadership and social commitment. By strengthening individuals’ and

institutions’ desire and ability to create positive change in their communities, a more just

AIESEC and FK

In 2011 AIESEC Kenya, AIESEC Norway and Fk Norway has an exchange partnership that

is part of the Fk. North-South exchange program; This is an exchange partnership between

AIESEC Mozambique, AIESEC Kenya, AIESEC Uganda and AIESEC Norway that Fk

Norway funds.

This partnership involves exchanging three Kenyans to go to Norway, and three

Norwegians to come down to Kenya, for a global internship exchange for five months

(from February to June). The EPs will go back to their respectful countries and go through a

post work program for two-three months, where they will do (a project that is related to

what they did abroad) that will give back to their community.

Unfortunately this project has been put on hold.

Here is a brief history about the Fk & AIESEC South to South project.

AIESEC in Ethiopia and AIESEC in Uganda partnered and applied for the grant in FK's south

to south program. This project won the grant and it is called Project SIRA-

TUKOLE. AIESEC in Ethiopia sends 5 Ethiopians to Uganda and AIESEC in Uganda sends

5 Ugandans to Ethiopia in 2014/2015. The intern’s job description was to teach

entrepreneurship in university, high school students, work with innovation hubs and also

consult for small enterprises for 6 months. Their realization period is on January. So project

goes from Jan 2016 - Jun 2016. The flight cost and accommodation is covered. And there is a

small stipend provided. The interns will be given preparation before their internship starts to

prepare them for the entrepreneurship training they will be giving. FK project is GIP not

exchange.

AIESEC Kenya has been invited to join the Fk South- South exchange project 2015-2016

that will be a partnership between Fk Norway (the grant givers), AIESEC Ethiopia, AIESEC

Kenya and AIESEC Uganda; our focus is on Entrepreneurship. The interns will come up

with a training program that they will be organizing in collaboration with universities,

collages, high schools as well as innovation hubs to train the youth on entrepreneurship and

creating businesses strategies for themselves. This internship will run for six months (from

January to June). The interns will go back to their respectful countries and do posts work for

three months – the intern will determine what they would like to do; either work with a

project that is related to what they did during their exchange, or stat up their own business.

The intern will be a representative of both AIESEC and the Fk Norway project.

NB: There will be 21 exchange participants between the three countries, which will be 7

EPs per country.
