ABOUT “MARIE” I am currently a student of Martinez Adult School, taking refresher college level courses in Accounting. Thus far, I have completed the first level of Accounting (Financial Accounting, Merchandising Accounting, Non-Profit Accounting and Payroll Accounting) and in the process of completing the second level of Accounting (Partnership & Corporate Accounting). Other classes at Martinez Adult School includes Microsoft Excel (yet highly adept in the entire Microsoft Suite for accounting purposes), besides QuickBooks, Typing (70 wpm), and 10-Key. An accounting firm that is medium to large in size is where I wish to use my skills, yet I am open to other industries. My attempts towards past career changes into technology and the real estate fields (as the unforeseen occurred: dotcoms bottomed out and the recession occurred from the housing bubbles) had not detoured my perseverance to make changes towards my betterment and those around me. I began taking Bookkeeping in high school and furthered my education by obtaining my Associates Degree in Accounting. My Accounting career has been at the following companies: Carmichael Certified Public Accountant in Vallejo, CA, as a Bookkeeper Assistant. United Way of Vallejo a Bookkeeper for all the nonprofit organizations throughout Northern California and was overseen by a CPA. Solano County Economic Opportunity Council (SCEOC letter attached), Inc., as an Accounting Technician. United Way of Vallejo as a Bookkeeper for all the nonprofit organizations throughout Northern California overseen by a CPA.

My Accounting career has been at the following companies:

Carmichael Certified Public Accountant in Vallejo, CA, as a Bookkeeper Assistant. UC Berkeley in the Budget Department for the Office of the President, as a Secretary with the responsibility of typing budget documents, and processing payables. Oakland Unified School District I had worked mostly with school budgets (references attached), tracked spending for all the schools throughout the School District and other accounting processes using Excel spreadsheets and the Integrated Financial Accounting System (IFAS).
