What is Networking?• Networking is the process of

developing and maintaining quality relationships that enrich your life and empower you to achieve your goals.

• Networking is a dynamic process that links people in to mutually beneficial relationships.

Reasons to Network• Develop and nurture mutually

beneficial relationships.

• Gain information to help you move forward professionally.

• Get referrals that could lead to other jobs or help your development.

Why are some people turned off by networking?

• Turned off by the idea of networkers as pushy self-promoters.

• Too busy to make the time

• Think of themselves as introverts, and therefore bad networkers.
