1 Introduction

This document will give an at-a-glance view of ALL the applicable measures indicating the

Practice, Provider, Location, and Practice Group performance against the Registry benchmark.

2 Login to Dashboard

2.1 Login Window

To access the application, open Chrome (or Internet Explorer) and either type or copy paste the

URL: https://registry.aan.com/Dashboard/Login.aspx

Login Credentials: Once the User enrolls or registers with the AAN Axon Registry, Registry

provides them login credentials as Username and Password.

Enter this “Username” and “Password” in the corresponding field to login.

Select Dashboard from Dropdown,

Click on the “Login” button.

3 Dashboard – Performance Trend

The Dashboard is the main landing page displayed to the User after a successful login. It gives an

overview of how Practices, Providers, Locations, and Practice Group perform against the Registry

Benchmark for each measure.

This document gives a brief overview of a Dashboard Performance Trend for the Practice Admin

login.

The Dashboard is divided into 2 panes -

Left pane Displays all the Modules (Practice, Provider, Location and Practice Group)

Note:

Practice Group tab will be visible to a Registry Admin and a Practice Admin of multiple Practices ONLY.

The Practice Admin login has been used while creating this User Manual.

Right Pane

Displays a Grid with

Filter Section - Allows to set the report duration and the filter criteria which defines the view of the Grid.

Exceeding Column - Displays the total number of measures exceeding the Registry

Benchmark for the selected Practice/Provider or Location tab in the left menu.

Below Column - Displays the total number of measures below the Registry Benchmark

for a Practice or Provider.



4 Practice Admin Dashboard

4.1 Filter Section

4.1.1 Month/Quarter Dropdown

Select Month or Quarter from the dropdown

Quarter – Displays measure performances for the selected Quarter.

Month – Displays measure performances for the selected Month.



4.1.2 Measure Set Dropdown

Select Registry Measure Set from the

drop down for which you would like to

view the measures.

AAN Measure Set – Displays all the

measures defined for the AAN Registry.

QCDR 2016 Measure Set – Only displays

measures which have been submitted

for PQRS 2016

4.1.3 Selection Criteria

4.1.3.1 Rolling

When the rolling option is selected, the aggregate data of last one

year is displayed, beginning with the selected Quarter or Month

Note: Rolling Button toggles between Rolling and Non-Rolling

4.1.3.2 Non-rolling

And if the non-rolling option is selected, then only the data pertaining

to the selected Quarter or Month is displayed.

4.1.3.3 All Button

Displays measure performance of ALL the defined measures under the Practice.

4.1.3.4 Favorite

Favorite button - Displays only the favourite measures under the Practice.

Favourite measure is identified with a blue star.



4.2 Performance Grid

The top row displays Practice name with its exceeding and below values.

Click on the blue “Plus” icon next to the Practice name to expand it.

This opens the Performance Trend grid which displays details of measures in different columns

such as ID, Measure and the Performance bar.

2 Measure Displays name of the measure

3 Performance Displays Performance bar which indicates the measure performance in percentage and a Registry benchmark value. Performance bar displays

Green Colour Bar – When the performance is higher than the Registry benchmark

Red Colour Bar – When the performance is lower than the Registry benchmark

Yellow Colour Bar – When the difference between the performance and Registry benchmark is less than 5%

A Vertical line on the bar– Indicates the Registry benchmark value on the performance bar

Percentage Number – Displays performance percentage and hovering mouse over the value will display the Numerator over Denominator value

4 Icons Blue Star - Click on Blue star to make the particular measure favourite. Unclicking it will remove the favourite tag

Exclamation sign - Hovering the mouse over the explanation mark will display whether the higher value is better or the lower value is better for the particular measure

PDF icon - Click on Download icon to download the performance report of the corresponding measure in PDF format



4.2.1 Performance Trend Window

Click on the right arrow displayed in the row of a particular measure or anywhere on the row

to open the Performance Trend Window. This displays an in-depth performance trend of the

corresponding measure with the help of a line graph and chart.

4.2.1.1 Practice Level

In addition to the Practice level, the performance can be viewed for the following levels using

the below mentioned tabs:

4.2.1.1.1 Performance Trend Tab

The performance trend is displayed for the most recent four quadrants in case the Quarter

is selected, or 6 months when the month is selected. This gives the User an idea about how

the Practice is trending over these four quadrants or months.

The performance is displayed in two ways – Line Graph and Chart

4.2.1.1.1.1 Line Graph

The performance is displayed for both the Practice and the Registry by line graph.

o Quarter – Displays the selected Quarter and three Quarters prior to it. o Month – Displays the selected Month and five Months prior to it.

The Practice performance is indicated by grey line

The Registry benchmark is indicated by blue line.

Hovering the mouse over any point on the graph displays the Patient numbers for the

selected Quarter/Month.

4.2.1.1.1.2 Chart

To the right of the

Performance Trend

Window is a Chart

explaining the

breakdown of

percentage for

each Month or

Quarter.

The data is represented in a tabular format with the following columns.

Column Description

Quarter It indicates the selected Quarter/Month

All Indicates number of patients eligible for the measure

(+) Indicates number of patients meeting the criteria

(-) Indicates number of patients who don’t meet the criteria

% Indicates percentage of patients meeting the criteria.



4.2.1.1.1.2.1 Patient Drill-Down Window

Clicking on any number in the Chart opens the Patient Drill-Down window displaying a

list of patients behind that number.

The data is represented in the tabular format with the following columns.

Column Description

Name Displays name of the patient

MRN Displays Medical Record Number

Gender Displays Gender of the Patient

DOB Displays Date of Birth of the Patient



4.2.1.1.1.2.2 Export Option

At the top of the table, export icons are provided to export the patient data to either

Excel or to CSV format.

4.2.1.1.1.2.3 Table Functions

Sorting Option – At each column sorting icons are provided to sort the column either

in ascending or descending order

Page navigation Option –Page navigation option will be displayed at the end of the

table. Arrow keys are provided to navigate between the pages.

4.2.1.2 Location Level Tab

Location tab displays the summary view of all the Locations within the Practice with their

performance.



The data is displayed in the tabular format with columns

Column Description

Name Name of the Location

Qualified Indicates number of Location

Met (+) Indicates number of Location meeting the criteria

Not Met (-) Indicates number of Location which doesn’t meet the criteria

Exclusion Indicates exclusion for the corresponding measure

Performance Indicates Performance bar with performance percentage

Click on any of the number to open the Location level performance trend window.

The view and functionality is same as explained in the Practice level Performance Trend

Window.

The Location Level can also be accessed from the left pane tab Application Menu.

4.2.1.3 Provider Level Tab

Provider tab displays the summary view of all the Providers within the Practice with their

performance.



The data is displayed in the tabular format with columns

Name Name of the Provider

Qualified Indicates number of Provider

Met (+) Indicates number of Provider meeting the criteria

Not Met (-) Indicates number of Providers who doesn’t meet the criteria

Exclusion Indicates exclusion for the corresponding measure

Performance Indicates Performance bar with performance percentage

Click on any of the number to open the Provider level performance trend window.

The Provider Level can also be accessed from the left pane tab Application Menu.



4.2.1.4 All Level

All tab displays summary view of all the Locations and Providers within Practice with their

performance on the same page.



5 Provider Dashboard

Click on the “Provider” tab from left pane to open the list of Providers belonging to the Practice

in the right pane.

Column Description

Name Name of the Provider

Exceeding Indicates how many measure performances exceed the Registry benchmark

Below Indicates how many measure performances are below the Registry benchmark

Download Icon

Indicates Download icon to download the corresponding report

Click on the “plus sign” next to the Provider, to open the detailed performances of all the

measures defined for the Provider.

The data is displayed in tabular format with columns as explained for the Practice tab. The view

and functionality is same as explained in the Practice Dashboard – Performance Trend Window.



6 Location Dashboard

Click on the “Location” tab from left pane to open the list of Locations belonging to the Practice

in the right pane.

Select respective Quarter/Month to view the data. The data is displayed in a tabular format with

the following columns

Column Description

Name Name of the Location

Exceeding Indicates how many measure performances exceed the Registry benchmark

Below Indicates how many measure performances are below the Registry benchmark

Download Icon

Indicates Download icon to download the corresponding report



Click on the “plus sign (+)” next to the Location, to open the detailed performances of all the

measures defined for the Location.

The data is displayed in tabular format with columns as explained for the Practice tab. The view

and functionality is same as explained in the Practice Dashboard - Performance Trend Window.



7 Practice Group Dashboard

Click on the “Practice Group” tab from left pane to view performance of measures for a selected

Practice Group. It gives an overview of how the Practice Group performs against the Registry

Benchmark for each measure.

The top right section of the right pane shows the Practice drop down. User can select different

Practices to form a group and view the combined performance of each measure for the selected

group.



7.1 Practice Accordion

The middle section of the right pane shows Practice details. Click on the “Down arrow” next to

the text Practices to view the list of Practices within the selected Practice Group in a tabular

format having the following columns-

Column Description

Practice ID Displays Practice ID number

List Name Displays name of the Practice Group

State Displays name of State of the Practice Group

City Displays name of City of the Practice Group

Zip Displays zip code of the city

7.2 Performance Grid

The combined performance of each measure of the selected Group is displayed on the screen.



Click on the “plus sign (+)” sign next to the measure to open a list of Practices belonging to the

Group and view the individual performance of the Practice for that measure within the Group.

Click on the “Individual Performance Bar” to view the Performance trend window for the

corresponding Practice for the selected measure.

8 Send Email to Support Team

To help User at any stage, a support system is created. The User can send queries to the support

team through the Dashboard itself.

A blue tab “Send Email to Support Team” is displayed, near the bottom right bottom corner of

the dashboard.

Click to open the Window and enter your query or concern. Then click on the “Send” button.



Our support team will respond to your email as soon as possible.

9 Important Notes

To Clear the Cache

For all browsers on Windows OS: 1) Login to the application 2) When on the landing/ default/ dashboard page, please press "Ctrl+F5" keys.

This clears the cache of old js/ css file versions.

For MAC systems Press "Cmd+R" keys.
