Introduction

This user manual provides step-by-step instructions to install Mantra MFS Drivers and Mantra RD service, Register MFS Device with RD Service and Aadhaar Authentication Process.

Browser and Proxy server Settings (One time installation)

Step 1: Unblock the popup in the Firefox Browser.


Step 2:By-passthe proxy to connect to RD service -> setting in the Firefox browser.


Step 3: Select Manual Proxy Configuration and HTTP Proxy should be pointed to 10.10.17.25 on Port 3128 as shown below.

Step 4: For Proxy server configuration please perform below steps. Open Control Panel >>Internet Options>>Connections>>LAN Settings add the Address: 10.10.17.25 and port: 3128 click on Ok button as shown in below.

MFS Driver Installation - Windows OS - (One time installation)

Steps for New Installation: Install the MFS100Driver and MantraRDService.

Pre-requisite step: Download & Install .NET framework 3.5 SP1 Software a)If Windows7 and above OS, then no need to install this pre-requisite software.

b)If Windows Vista, then download software from following link and install the setup http://www.esic.in/InsuranceGlobalWebV5/Downloads/dotnetfx35_vista.exe

c)If Windows XP, then download software from following link and install the setup http://www.esic.in/InsuranceGlobalWebV5/Downloads/dotnetfx35.exe

Note: If file download is not completing due to network issue, then download it from following external link and install the dotnetfx35.exe setup

MFS Driver Installation - Windows OS - (One time installation)

Step 1: Download Latest Version MFS100Driver.exe and Install

1) Download setup file from following link: http://www.esic.in/InsuranceGlobalWebV5/Downloads/New/MFS100Driver.exe

2) Right click on setup file and select “Run as administrator”, as shown below:

Note: To install MFS100Driver setup need to access system32folder. In this case setup need administrator privileges.

MFS Driver Installation –(New/Reinstallation)

Step 2: Welcome Wizard

RD Service Installation - Windows OS

Step 1: Download and installMantraRDService.exe 1)Download setup file from following link:

2)Right click on setup file and select “Run as administrator”, as shown below:

Step 2: Welcome to Mantra Registered Device Service Production Setup Wizard

RD Service Verification - Windows OS

Step 1: To Verify the RDService has Started or Not

➢ After installation of RD Service, it can be found under Services form “Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools”. And click on Services then you will get below window. And find out below files

➢ Start Run Type “Services.msc” as shown below to Open Services Wizard



➢ Right click on Mantra AVDM Click On properties Log On Select Radio Button This Account Click on Browse Click On Advance Click On Find Now Select the same account as local machine is login.

Note: Please ensure that selected user account has the administrator Privileges.

➢ Right click on Mantra AVDM Helper Click On properties Log On Select Radio Button This Account Click on Browse Click On Advance Click On Find Now Select the same account as local machine is login. Note: Please ensure that selected user account has the administrator Privileges.





➢ Click On restart the Mantra AVDM service. ➢ Click On restart the Mantra AVDM Helper service.


➢ For running on internet (gateway.esic.in) please perform the below two steps in Firefox Browser.

Step1: Open Firefox browser>>Options>>Network Proxy>>Settings>> Select No Proxy and click on Ok.



Step2: Open Firefox browser and write https://127.0.0.1:8005 in url and click on “I Understand the Risks” , click “Add Exception” , it will open Add Security Exception popup and then click “Confirm Security Exception”.

➢ For running on Intranet(ESIC Network) please perform the below two steps in Firefox Browser. Step1: Open Firefox browser>>Options>>Network Proxy>>Settings>> Select Manual proxy configuration and click on Ok.



Step2: Open Firefox browser and write https://127.0.0.1:8005 in url and click on “I Understand the Risks” , click “Add Exception” , it will open Add Security Exception popup and then click “Confirm Security Exception”.

➢ Unplug and Plug-in Device.


➢ To check, whether RD service install.

RD Service Verification - Windows OS – Registration of MFS Device with RD Service

Step 2: Register MFS Device with RDService

➢ When RD Service will detect public device (Your Current Mantratec biometric device) then it will ask you to convert it into registered device and below message will be generated.

➢ By selecting option “YES”, public device will be converted to registered device by connecting Mantra’s server.

➢ Once device is converted in to registered device, user will be notified again with success response by RD Service.


“You have successfully converted device into Aadhaar registered device kindly unplug and plug your device again”.

➢ If you get the below error message after clicking on “Yes” then you need to send the serial number of the Biometric device to [email protected].

(Please note that once ITCARE get this serial number inserted into the Mantratec database only after that your Biometric device will get activated and become functional, this may take up-to 24-48 hours.)

➢ Once user get the confirmation from ITCARE that the serial number has been inserted into the mantratec database, then on plug-in the biometric device the user will get the below confirmation of successful installation.

➢ Serial number is present at the back of the device as shown in screen shot below.
