Testimonials Student: When I was in eighth grade the high school Iwas to attend in the fall cut its band, orchestra, and choirprograms. Throughout elementary school and middleschool I was actively involved in playing trumpet in theband and marching band. I was greatly distraught that Iwould be unable to continue trumpet in high school due tothe fact that I could not afford private lessons nor could Iafford to join a youth symphony without applying forscholarships. Thankfully, I learned of Art Ed and throughout

my high school career I have thoroughly enjoyed Art Edsprograms as well as grown and succeeded as a musician. Ihave received one on one teaching from the ButlerUniversity student volunteers as well as my band directorwho taught high school band for twenty years prior toteaching at Art Ed. The student volunteers have especiallyimpacted me in the fact that they have inspired me topursue a music degree and mentored me along the way byhelping me with the college audition process. Lastly, theconcerts and ensembles that I have performed in eachsemester have impacted me and helped grow as a musicianby actively engaging myself in Art.-Jake Brown, 17, Student

Parent: Art Ed has not only been a positive musical andpersonal growing experience for my daughter, but one that Iam quite sure will shape her for the rest of her life. I amgrateful that my daughter has the opportunity to attend ArtEd and sing in the choir after school. Her IPS school doesnot have a choral program, and without the enrichment andcultural learning she receives at Art Ed, I feel there wouldbe a great hole in her education.-Mary Smith, mother
