New automation for sliding automatic doors in escape routes:
FAAC A1400 AIR RD
Automation in compliance with European Standard EN 16005 and TUV certificated.
Project created with the specific intent ofgetting a new automation for escape routesin compliance with Machinery Directive2006/42 / EC.
Entire route has been consolidated with theobtaining of the TUV mark and T.R.O.C.(Technical Report Of Conformity).
Document that certifies compliance with theMachinery Directive and to the followingharmonized standards:• EN 16005:2012

Why use a redundant automation in escaperoute?
A1400 AIR RD - Generality
The new automation FAAC A1400 AIR RD, for pedestrian door installed on escape, ensures the opening of the door in all circumstances. In case of danger or emergency the door opening is ensured by redundant safety systemcertificate EN 13849 Pl. ‘D'.
As per standard EN 16005 the doors redundant are used in the same fields of applicationof the sliding doors with break-out system, where emergency opening is effected bypressing or manual push.
In particular they are used in those situations where the breakout system can generatedanger for the passage of people and / or vehicles in the neighboring areas during therotation of the doors themselves.

What does it mean to have redundantautomation FAAC A1400 AIR RD installedon an escape?
A1400 AIR RD - Generality
1. It means having an entrance in compliance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/CEand TUV certificate.
2. It means having the certainty that even in case of failure, power failure orbreakdown, the escape route is always free and guaranteed.
3. It means having an automation EN16005 certified for the attainment of 1,000,000cycles.
4. It means having a door that performs an auto-diagnosis at least once a day.
5. It means being able to automate a door with leaves up to 200 kg, also only incrystal, and make however that the door becomes an escape route in compliancewith current standards in terms of safety.
6. It means being able to automate a door with the transit space up to 3 make andmake however that the door becomes an escape route in compliance with currentstandards in terms of safety.
7. It means decreasing overall installation time compared to a traditional entrancewith mechanical break-out system.
8. It means having an automation with advanced technology and up to date.

Passage from AUTOMATIC to NIGHT / MANUAL
Using the SDK EVO with password or key mandatory (EN16005). As the door stops being an escape and then the passage must be done by authorized persons.
Using SD KEEPER by pressing a button. Anyone can put the door in NIGHT / MANUAL, use the lock with the key optional.

The traction unit of the automation is composed by a main motor with encoderwhich communicates constantly the correct position of the leaves to thesophisticated electronic card which, thanks to a double control circuit, occurs atleast once every 24 hours the integrity of the system to safeguard the safety duringall movement.
In case of need, error or failure of the system the opening of the door is ensuredanyway by the second auxiliary motor, which opens the leaves and these remainopen until the fault is not resolved.
The leaves are moved by a new 12mm belt which allows for speeds andaccelerations in compliance with EN 16005.

A1400 AIR RD – Characteristics
As per standard EN 16005 the automatic sliding doors with a clear opening width upto 2000 mm are open to at least 80% within 3 seconds after activation by the actuatorin the direction of exodus or at latest after 5 sec to switch off the power supply.
The timing of opening for doors wider must be calculated in proportion.

XDT3 Double tecnology sensor FOR ESCAPE ROUTE
This new double technology sensor, certified EN 16005 and EN 13849 PL. "D", isintended to be used with the new automation A1400 AIR RD for doors installed onescape and it must be mounted in the direction of escape, while for other direction canbe used a traditional double technology sensor , as XDT1 and XV1.
It is also able to detect the movement of the person, optimizing the time of opening ofthe door, making close the door immediately after the passage or intercepting the sidepassage openings avoiding unwanted and unnecessary waste of energy (ENERGYSAVING).

All operating functions and advancedprogramming (with password INSTALLER) orbasic (with password access USER) arefacilitated by four keys that guide the user throughthe menus.
The MANUAL or NIGHT functions are accessibleusing a code number or a key, as required by EN16005.
NOTE:SDK EVO is not compatible with A100-A140series
This new keypad, supplied as an accessory, it is always equipped with a largegraphic display that allows a full access to all parameters of the door.
12mm transmission belt The leaves are moved by a new oversized belt of 12mm which allows for speeds andaccelerations in compliance with EN 16005
For both motors were added plastic containment to prevent the belt comes out duringthe acceleration and braking,
