Verbal Judo: The Gentle Art of Persuasion
Verbal Judo is a kind of conflict management which involves
using tone of voice and choice of words to calm an angry
individual. This verbal self-defense is also known as the
gentle art of persuasion; it uses techniques for deflecting
conversation and redirecting the conversation to a less
emotional, controlled level.
The primary goal of Verbal Judo is to manage behavior with
words to gain compliance over a non-compliant subject.
In this one-hour seminar, Dr. Jamie Wada, a certified Verbal
Judo instructor, will present an overview of Verbal Judo and
share the basics.
Audience: This seminar is open to anyone who would like to
attend. Bring a friend!
