When did we see You a stranger and invite You in, naked and clothed You? When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?” And the Lord will reply, “Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it to the least of My family, you have done it unto Me.” In the fall of 2012, I was rolled out of Forsyth Hospital by my wife with a Food Lion bag of medicine, a bottle of oxygen, and a “Welcome to Hospice” book that my doctor slipped in the pill bag. I was 51 years old planning on another 25 or so. That was suddenly a sad realization that was never going to happen, yet I still wanted to live. I was just too young to die. I could still feel my sister’s hand in mine as she slipped away in the grasp of cancer. The sad fact of the matter was simple. I didn’t want to die and couldn’t afford to live. When we had exhausted every penny, every favor, every hope, and all of our dignity, my wife and I swallowed our pride (there was nothing else in the house to swallow), and came to the Storehouse for some scraps of bread, maybe one or two of my medicines for a month, and hopefully someone could intercede for mercy on our behalf. It turned out to be one of, if not the greatest days of my life! I met not less than nine servants of God that day. Kind, caring gentle men and women that seemed to know how deep the wounds had become. You cared for, cried with, and prayed for me. It had been a long time since that had happened, since I had felt loved and respected outside of my own home! I left that day, not with one or two bottles of pills, but a Food Lion sack full. With a joy in my heart and hope that the future would really be brighter. We returned for the Food Pantry. The gifts were so great we cried and still do every time we come. We left that first day with more groceries than we’d had at one time in over six months. You’ll never know the joy we shared that first night as we sat down to a real home cooked dinner, held hands, and gave thanks for the journey God had led us down. The path we so feared and dreaded, was transformed into the Light at the end of the tunnel! I honestly believe “The Valley of the Shadow of Death”, is different for everyone. One valley for me was not only admitting we would not survive without help, but getting low enough to ask for it! My resting oxygen rate on the last visit was 81. Yet with the medicines ya’ll give us, the psychological care, and nourishment, we truly feel better and healthier that we were even a year ago. We are definitely blessed beyond belief with deeper faith, greater love, wonderful new friends, and a hope that makes every day brighter. I guess we came to you begging for a11 handout and look back to find that you have slowly and steadily given us a hand up. Our words can never express the gratitude and love we share for each and every single one of you! That you have so freely and sincerely sacrificed your time and energy to hold my hand and say it’s all right, to intercede for and with me, humbled at the feet of Jesus. I don’t think you have to take a bullet in the head to lay down your life for another. Sometimes those lives are laid at the foot of the cross for all mankind. Such is the beauty we see in our brothers and sisters here at the Storehouse For Jesus! Our prayers give thanks to God! Our hearts wanted to share that blessing with you!” Love Always, A Client & Patient Page 1

Dear Friends at the Storehouse For Jesus,

“And they said, Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and invite You in, naked and clothed You? A Storehouse For Jesus - Statement of Faith1. We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. Prov. 30:5a, Mark 13:31; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:20-21

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Mt 28:19; 1 Pet 1:2a; 1 Jn 5:7

3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (Jn 10:30; Col 2:9), His virgin birth (Mt 1:23), His sinless life (2 Cor 5:21), His miracles (Mt 9:1-8; Jn 11:14-45), His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (Mt 26:28; Rom 5:8-11), His bodily resurrection (Mt 28:5-7), His ascension to the right hand of the Father. (Mark 16:17), and His personal return in power and glory (Mt 24:30).

4. We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Jn 3:3; 2 Cor 5:17) and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and not as a result of good works (Eph. 2:8).

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and perform good works. Jn 14:16-17; Acts 4:29-31; Gal 5:22.

6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life; they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. Mt 25:46; Jn 5:24; Jn5:29

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph. 4:4-6; Col 1:18

“Thank you ALL so much for sharing with us the many blessings which the Lord has shared with you! We’‛re humbled by your kindness and generosity! You are a blessing to all who walk through your doors and my family and I thank you from the bottoms ofour hearts!! Blessings.”

“What Storehouse Means to Me, Coming here to volunteer 4 years ago, I have grownspiritually in my daily life here and at home. Jesus has always been my steady companionand Savior. Storehouse volunteers are friendly and caring people who believe that throughprayer God can do all things in His own will. I can say that after interviewing clients youhave been touched with the understanding what “love they neighbor” means. You nolonger judge people by their looks, age, or race. The clients touch me personallyemotionally and you laugh or cry with them. I no longer feel that my problems are uniqueafter speaking with them. Their needs may be different than mine, but I always rememberthat it could be Jesus sitting in front of you just in a different sense. I love doing this workfor the Glory of God. I have grown in all ways during these 4 years and pray that it willcontinue for many years to come. Trust in the Lord and all things are possible.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family here at Storehouse, you all are a blessing tome and all people that come through the doors of Storehouse.

Prayer Walk Warriors' NeededActs 6:4 ~ But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the work.

A Prayer Walk – There is just something amazing about standing in the place where another volunteer has stood and praying for that person. For some reason, standing  in  the  medical  hallway  when  no  one  is  there  and  it’s  quiet, it causes you to pray differently –the hallway the night before was a hustle & bustle of activity; the Holy Spirit is still there like a friend waiting to walk with you as you pray. My prayers for each person that walked that hall seems different than when I pray at home. I always pause at the file rooms where so many souls are written down and pray they are in God’s  book. As I walk the halls, stopping at the thresholds of each room, I pray for those who have entered - you know in your heart that each needs prayer. Then you may pass the check out counters that may be empty now, but you are reminded of the other day when you walked past the lines that were very long. Then as you see the clothes and food, you thank God for those who donated them, those who hung them up or placed them on a shelf, and for those who will take these items home. There are so many members serving in the Body of Christ! As you walk into the warehouse in the summer you notice the temperature change. Just standing there in prayer you start to sweat, but hour after hour the volunteers cheerfully do their jobs and you remember this as you  stand  in  their  place.    The  warehouse  doesn’t  have  the  beauty  of  the  front.    No  painted walls, shiny floor, or pretty pictures; but when I look I can see  the  size  and  greatness  of  what  God  has  built,  I  just  can’t  help  but be overwhelmed. I could go on & on, but I pray this helps you to see the importance of a prayer walk.

Please pray about joining us as a prayer walker. One day a month or one day a week would be a blessing. As we walk around the building, we pray for all who enter and for a hedge of protection  for  God’s  ministry.    I will place a calendar in the kitchen to sign up on. Come by yourself or in a group - all are welcome. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like me to put your name on the calendar. The calendar is just to keep up with what days we need someone to make sure this ministry and those we serve are covered in prayer.

Thank you all. Blessings.

Hope Cline; Prayer Walk Coordinator

Urgent Important Message from the Medical Ministries Director

MEDICAL MINISTRIESDirector – George Kimberly, MD

Page 5

A Message From Dr. Kimberly;

We are five years into Health Care Access, and the Medical Clinic at A Storehouse For Jesus is seeing more patients, not the  “less”  we  expected.    Many  years  into  the  confusion  and  complexities  of  Medicaid  there  has  been  no  reduction  in  the  census at the free clinics for the uninsured and underinsured.

Since  our  clinic  began  in  2000,  there  have  been  many  “ups  and  downs”  in  the  economy.    We  have  been  blessed  beyond  measure  during  the  “downs”  by  generous  donors  and  willing  volunteers.

We put out a plea for donations, providers, and medical personnel. As our number of patients continues to increase, our number of providers has not increased, and medications continue to skyrocket.

What can and must be done? We have to ask for help.

As the Medical Ministries Director, I make the rounds to ask providers annually, and take every opportunity otherwise to ask them to consider volunteering with us at The Storehouse – the staff does the same. We will continue to do this.

We, the Medical Ministries, are asking all Storehouse volunteers to ask their personal physicians, physician assistants, and nurses practioners if they will consider giving some time to their local free clinic at Storehouse. This would also apply to those in the community – please ask your neighbors, friends, church congregations, Bible studies, small groups, or wherever medical providers might be found. All of us, as volunteers, believe in the overall ministry of the Storehouse  and  its  blessing  by  God,  or  we  wouldn’t  be  here  ourselves!

As we near the beginning of a new year in the clinic, the 16th in fact, I want to sincerely express my appreciation to all providers – past, present, and future – and all the many others in the Medical Ministries for excellent work for the increasing number of patients with increasingly complex problems needing urgent and chronic care. The staff, every one  of  them,  is  dedicated,  dependable,  cheerful,  and  have  a  bunch  more  superlatives  but  time  and  space  has  “run  out”.

Very gratefully,George D. Kimberly, MDMedical Ministries Director
