In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good.

place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it… What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? Certainly not in this matter!

Chuck Borchert, a long time attendee of CCSV, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2018. Please keep his wife, Evy Hartzog and the family in your

prayers. Cards and condolences may be sent to: 17633 N. Raindance, Surprise, AZ 85374. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 in the MPR with a reception to follow in the Residence Lounge.

Pray for our home-bound members that they will be encouraged as they look to God for His blessings.

Missions: Mixter, Danny & Tammy - Ethnos360 (New Tribes)

Danny and Tammy Mixter continue their work with New Tribes Mission at the New Tribes Institute headquarters in Michigan. Note: the name has changed to Ethnos 360. Students come from all over to study the Word of God and gain insights into tribal missions in preparation for whatever God has for them. Danny and Tammy have the opportunity to offer encouragment and

guidance for students as they consider what God has for them in the future regarding tribal missions.

Danny prepared the Institute facilities this summer for classes that started this fall. Pray for the whole family including their three children as they serve the Lord together. Tammy is homeschooling Addie and Emeera. Josiah is not yet old enough for school.

Facing her father's coffin

Martina, a little girl in Nigeria, stared blankly into space at the request.

An Open Doors trauma counselor knew Martina bore a weight of depression on her shoulders. And she asked Martina to draw what scared her, not knowing what might appear on her sheet of paper.

Instead of drawing a picture, Martina slowly folded the paper into a box, and wrote her father’s name on it. It was her father’s coffin.

When Martina came to the Trauma Center, our team helped her understand her feelings. And as they spent more time with her, they helped her to mentally bury her father in her own way.

In Martina’s mind, she had to express her father’s burial to unload the burden she had been carrying for a long

time. After the experience, she felt relieved. And finally accepted the death of her father.

Martina has experienced incredible healing. No longer feeling the weight of her father’s death. Martina says, “Since the first day I came here for the Trauma Healing Program, I felt at rest. I felt normal. I felt the heavy load lifted from my heart.”

Martina shares her story in her own words

I was 2 months old when my daddy died. I never really knew him. But I miss him so very much. I wish I could know the exact place of the grave in which they buried him.

He was murdered because of his faith, during a time when many people were being killed. And instead of giving every person a proper burial, so many corpses were tossed into mass graves. We don’t know where his body is.

Sometimes I ask my mom to take me to the place where he was killed. She would take me there. But I could never stop thinking about him. When I went to school and heard my friends talking about their daddies, I used to ask God to give me a father.

This is why the children of the persecuted church need you

In areas where persecution is the greatest, it’s always the children who suffer the most. They watch as unimaginable horror is unleashed in their lives, upon their families and against their loved ones. For many, everything they hold dear has been shattered. Their

families have been wrecked. Their homes are decimated. And they feel lost, thinking no one is there to help them restore the broken pieces of their lives.

World, National, and State Concerns

Pray for President Donald Trump as he continues his four-year term of office. These are critical days for our nation.

Pray earnestly for a revival in this land, that Christians will boldly take a stand for their Christian beliefs. Pray that those who are attempting to impose restrictions on us that are contrary to the Law of God would be stopped.

Pray for our National and State legislators. Pray for the congress as they deal with critical issues facing our nation. Pray for all those who are in leadership over the political matters facing our national, state, and local governments.

Pray for those in Law Enforcement throughout the country. Pray for God’s intervention to stop the constant attacks against police and those charged with keeping law and order.

Pray for protection of our troops as they serve around the world to keep and maintain peace. Pray for wisdom for those who provide leadership for military operations.
