Steel no longer rusts!

Employed by renowned architects such as Renzo Piano,Richard Rogers, Jean Nouvel, Jean-Michel Wilmotteand Frank Gehry, prepainted steel has become atraditional material. Continuous deposition of aprotective metallic coating followed by painting in theplant has solved the problem of corrosion of lightgauge steels.

With its excellent resistance to corrosion and UV, steelhas replaced aluminium for building envelopes. For equal weight, it offers three times more strength at half the cost; colour durability and stability areguaranteed. The choice of paint depends on theenvironment; our paints withstand corrosive urbanenvironments, marine, tropical or abrasiveenvironments, etc.

Available in numerous options, our paints are appliedonto ZM Evolution, an innovative galvanised coatingthat has received CSTB approval. Superior to existingsolutions, this technology affords unrivalledperformance and is particularly suited to the facades of new and renovated housing. Our researchersdeveloped this new formulation based on zinc,aluminium and magnesium. The zinc provides activecathodic protection; the aluminium provides passiveprotection, slowing the sacrificial reaction. Thiscombination provides the upper surface with protectiontwo to three times that of conventional galvanisedsteels and unrivalled protection of cut edges.
