Hello,

A warm welcome to the 13th edition of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon!

This presentation is an exercise to help you understand the proceedings on race day, so that

you can guide your group runners/employees or participants supporting your NGO. This

information is also part of event handbooks created respectively for each race category

emailed or handed over at the Expo, depending upon what the participant has opted in the

application form.

The countdown to race day has begun and we wish you a safe and sporting race day on

Sunday, 17th January 2016.

YOUR RUNNING NUMBER BIB

DO NOT misplace your running number bib – we cannot issue you a replacement.

DO NOT exchange or handover your bib to another person to wear and run.

Your bib number is synched to your personal details with us. Important with respect to –

Any race day emergencies – we need to identify the runner without difficulty.

Marathon-photos.com – the person in photo and name will not match !

Details on timing certificates (marathon, half marathon and DHL corporate champions) will

not be edited post race day.

Disqualification from 2016 and 2017 editions of the Event. Further Procam International

reserves the right to take necessary legal action for impersonation against the registered

participant and the person who has used the running number bib on race day.

on north bound carriageway – cross Bindu Madhav Thakre Chowk

and go straight on Khan Abdul Gafar Khan Road (north bound

carriageway) – Worli Seaface Road – towards Rajiv Gandhi Bandra-

Worli sea link junction – turn left onto the sea-link – go straight

on Rajiv Gandhi Bandra Worli Sealink towards toll naka on north

bound carriageway – take a u-turn from 1st intersection before

Toll Naka and run towards worli seaface on south bound

carriageway – exit from Sealink end and turn right on worli seaface

(Khan Abdul Gafar Khan Road) on south bound carriageway –

cross Bindu Madhav Thakre Chowk – cross Worli Dairy – turn left

and go towards China Bistro Restaurant - turn right on Annie

Besant Road and go towards National Sports Club of India – go

Straight on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and run towards Haji Ali Junction

– cross the junction and go straight on Dr. Gopal Rao Deshmukh

Marg (Peddar Road) – cross Jaslok Hospital and climb the Kemps

Corner Bridge – go towards Prem Puri Chowk – turn right from

Prem Puri Chowk and go towards Babulnath Temple – go straight

on Babulnath Road and take left from Tambe Chowk – go straight

on NSC Bose Road (Marine Drive Road) – cross Wilson College –

cross Charni Road and Marine Lines station and go towards Pizza

By The Bay junction – turn left from Pizza By The Bay and go on

Nestlé Refreshment Counter – You will need to show your running

number bib to our volunteers for them to handover the refreshment

packet to you. Do use the disposal bag to throw leftovers in bins at

the venue. Please do not litter in the venue/route premises.

Finisher Medal (along with refreshment packets) – finishers will

not be posted to individual runners.

Bag retrieval – on M.G. Road till 11 a.m. on race day

Runners must cross all timing mats on route, including at start and finish points. If timings not captured

on all timing points – no rankings and no prize money.

Live timing results on race day on www.scmm.procamrunning.in.

Provisional race results and timing results will be uploaded on the official event website post 2 p.m.

on race day.

Timing certificates available on event website for download within 21 working days after race day.

Started race between 5:40 a.m. and 6:10 a.m.

Timing captured on all timing points.

Crossed finish line by 9:10 a.m.

The timing certificate of the SCMM 2016 is valid for use as a pre-qualification in all AIMS certified

HOSTED IN CORPORATE TEAM TENT

All members of Corporate Teams supporting a cause/NGO

will be hosted at the Corporate Team Tent in Azad Maidan on

race day pre their run. Members participating in the Dream

Run need to return to the Corporate tent post their run –

post event refreshments will be served at this tent.

Entry into Azad Maidan is from Gate 4 or Gate 5 only. Once

you enter, you need to walk right across Azad Maidan to reach

the CorporateTent.

All corporate team members will get priority in line-up at the

Dream Run start.

Entry into the tent is strictly against displaying one’s

running number bib which has ‘Corporate Team’

written on it. NGO representatives are not allowed to

enter into this tent – companies will be attended to by

UWM representatives.

Due to security reasons, only confirmed participants of

the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2016

wearing the valid running number bib and event crew

will be allowed entrance into Azad Maidan.

All confirmed non-Elite marathon runners must enter the

holding area before 5:39 a.m.

on to Marine Drive towards The Oberoi hotel – Turn Left on

Vinayak K Shah Marg towards Maker Chambers – take u-turn

from T junction and come back on Marine Drive – turn left

towards NCPA and take u-turn & back on Marine Drive up to

Chowpatty – turn right to Babulnath Marg – turn left past N.S.

Patkar Marg over Kemps Corner Flyover to Haji Ali junction –

turn left on to Lala Lajpat Rai Marg to Dr. Annie Besant Road

and left under Love Grove Flyover/China Bistro Restaurant –

straight down towards Rajiv Gandhi Bandra-Worli Sealink– go

on Rajiv Gandhi Bandra-Worli Sealink towards Bandra – pass the

toll plaza and switch the carriage way and move towards Bandra

Causeway – turn right towards Mahim Church – turn right on

Caddel road crossing Mahim Church – go on Swatantra Veer

Sawarkar Marg and pass by Hinduja Hospital, Shivaji Park,

Siddhivinayak towards Century Bazar – go onto Dr. Annie Besant

Road and cross Glaxo, Worli Police Station & Poddar Hospital –

The Elphinstone Technical & Higher Education College on

Mahanagar Palika Marg is the holding area for Champions With

Disability participants.

Participants must reach CWD holding area no later than 7:20 a.m.

Only confirmed runners and individuals with event accreditation will

be allowed entry into the holding area.

Parking space for CWD vehicles is Badruddin Taiyyabji Marg (lane

between Elphinstone Technical Education College and Xaviers

College).

HOSTED AT PROCAM MARQUEE

All Change Makers will be hosted at the Procam Marquee on

race day. Half marathon runners can enter into the marquee

post their finish.

Change Makers to enter Azad Maidan from Gate 5 (opp. TCS

House) for easy access to the marquee.

Change Makers participating in the marathon, SCR and Dream

Run will be escorted to the start line at respective start times

by Procam representatives.

Entry into the marquee is strictly against an

invitee/wrist band and name on guest list. Those not on

the guest list will not be allowed into the marquee.

For security reasons, on race day only confirmed participants of the Standard

Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2016 and individuals wearing valid accreditation will

be allowed entry into event venue/s and on route. Friends/family/supporters of

participants must arrange to meet SCMM 2016 participants only outside the event

venue/s premises.

Do not exchange your bib and/or bib tag with another runner, this will amount to

disqualification from the 2016 and subsequent edition of the Event.

Baggage storage facility will be available ONLY for marathon and half marathon

participants. Do not store any valuables in the bag. Promoter will not be liable for

loss of baggage or its belongings.

Please ensure your participants reach the venue on time depending upon the race

category he/she is participating as indicated. Participants coming late will not be

allowed to participate.

Entrance into the holding area is based on the wearing of current edition’s bibs of

respective race category.

Do not run with pets, babies and non registered participants.

Do not carry gas balloons on the grounds or on the course.

NGO groups can carry company banners and run. However, the banners should

not block the way of others and should easily go through metal detector gates at

the entrance gates of JLNS.

Any banners, hoardings fixed by any NGO/company on the route will be

removed/defaced.This is not allowed.
