ONE THAT DELVES TOO MUCH INTO DETAILS(EXCERPT) I, Robot' is a notable exception. The story sticks to Asimov's philosophy of portraying Robots-as-Pathos. Set in a futuristic society where a single organisation has a monopoly

on almost all robots, the protagonist Del Spooner(played by Will Smith), a police officer is anti-robots.

He is assigned to a murder investigation of a top roboticist at US Robots.

His primary suspect is a robot from a new line of robots that the organisation is about to launch.

Susan Calvin (robopsychologist at US Robots) believes otherwise. She is convinced that since a robot must follow the three laws of robotics-(paraphrased)

1. A robot must not harm a human being, and through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must follow the orders of a human, unless they conflict with the first law.

3. A robot must protect itself unless it conflicts with the rest two laws. the suspected robot cannot be the perpetuator

ONE THAT IS A BIT SHORT (ENTIRE) This is one of the most saddest story that I've ever watched. This movie shows that everything is not as it seems to be, atleast

everyone is not whom they seem to be. A criminal gets admitted to a mental hospital when he was declared

mentally unstable. The guy initially behaves like an 'asshole' but he quite unlikely came

to understand the patients in the mental ward better than the best nurse in the hospital.

And they inturn understood him too. The story takes a turn when he realizes that it is upto the hospital to

decide when to release him. He befriends the apparently deaf and dumb 'cheif' and plans to

escape. He goes out of his zone to help the patients of the ward as his

emotions screw up everything. A truly mesmerising story.

ONE WITH SOME REDUNDANCIES (EXCERPT) As the name suggest this a war-movie where an agent named Capt.

Miller is sent on a mission to save a soldier named Pvt. Ryan. Ryan's mother has already her three children in the same war

against Germany. Movie starts with a thriller action sequence where the American

forces are fighting again German forces at Ohama Beach. This scene is the most real war sequence I have ever seen in a

movie. Thousands of soldiers died in this bloody dreadful sequence. We came to see some good strategies, breakdowns, courage. This movie shows emotions buried deep under the soldiers which

they have to sacrifice for their country. All these things together completes this movie and makes it much

more interesting then any other fiction movie.

ONE WITH WAY TOO MANY SUPERLATIVES(EXCERPT) It is a film adaptation of the famous Blind Harry's epic poem "The

Actes and Deidis of the Illustre and Vallyeant Champion Schir William Wallace“.

Besides the powerful performance and direction of Mel, the movie has got a lot of romance, action, comedy and emotions to offer to the audience

This movie has the greatest screenplay ever written by Randall Wallace .

The unparalleled blend of sceneries of the Scottish highland and local music makes this movie an epic art work.

James Horner again proves his worth. The cinematography and editing were simply marvellous. If we consider the cons, I would say the movie should be a little less

dramatic and more realistic. In a nutshell, if you love watching historical biopic or drama, I would

suggest you not to miss this movie.

ONE WITH A BIT (READ MUCH) SPOILERS(EXCERPT) Flipped is a unique coming of age romantic comedy movie based on

the novel "Flipped" by W. Draanen. Juli falls in love at first sight with Bryce but he has a weird feeling of

attraction and isn't too sure of his love for her From the very first day he tries to keep her away, at times insulting

her and letting her down, but she is never angered or agitated She repeatedly tries to forget his behaviour, but it's when this stacks

up so high, and she feels that she might be wrong for him that at this time.

He repeatedly tries to contact her, talk to her, and makes all possible attempts and pleads her for forgiveness.

One day, Bryce starts digging a hole in her front lawn which angers her, but when she realises that Bryce has redeemed himself, they both share smile and continue planting the tree.

ONE THAT BEATS ABOUT THE BUSH (EXCERPT) Thus begins the saga of a beautifully picturized tale full of suspense

and uncertainty. Mani Ratnam , as always the genius storyteller he is , keeps us

under his spell for the entire time. Mani Ratnam through his 'gem' has also tried to put light onto the

grim and often neglected scenario in the North East where Rebels are trying to get for their region what they deserve .

Being cut off from the mainland and being quite a distance from the National Capital seems to have made the government officials oblivious to the plight of the citizens there with people having far less resources and opportunities than mainland India.

It concludes in a melodramatic fashion , this film has all that brings out all the emotions from the viewer .
