A CURE FOR SIN

MATTHEW 8 2 And, behold, there came a leper and

worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

3 And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou

clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Leprosy, there was no cure for leprosy. They haven't found it yet. Only God can cure leprosy. They haven't found even

nothing for it, to help it. But it's a type of sin. It sets in so gradual; it's

painless. Just moves right in; you don't know it until you're dying. Big white warts come out all over you, limbs

drop off and everything, eat you right into the... Just--just eats you up, leprosy. Jesus was the only One Who could heal

this leprosy. He's the only One today Who can heal this leprosy.

begin with.


Then there is another... God said, "Put your hand back into your bosom." Over his heart he put his hands again at the

commission of God where we was brought forth first, his hand, a leper. You were brought forth by God first, a sinner, not by choice but by nature. Then you go back again, and when he come

out, the hand was clean and perfect, showing that this hand, before it could

wave the judgment rod had to be a cleaned hand before it could wave.

172 Watch him put his... "Hand in thy bosom." What a sign. Now, there he

stands, holding his right hand over his heart (standing like this) where the

hidden secrets of redemption had been hid since the foundation of the world. Here's why shepherds. Jesus is God's right hand; we all know. Here's

Moses portraying Him exactly. He held the secrets of the Father, and has

showed them to us.


Notice, watch him pull from his bosom his right hand smitten with deadly leprosy.

Showed what God would do with His right hand. Notice, the leprosy has no

cure. Notice, again, it wasn't just common leprosy; it was in its last stage:

white as snow. His hand was smitten with a horrible thing. How Moses must've felt when he pulled his right hand from over his heart, out of his bosom, and his hand

was smitten with leprosy. Leprosy symbolizes sin, incurable, and

especially in its last stage.


173 Brethren, that's where the world was when God pulled His Right Hand

from His bosom. The world was smitten with deadly leprosy, and no

cure at all for it. So is it tonight, because they won't receive the remedy. The remedy was made at Calvary, but people wants to take some manmade

prescription in the stead of God's prescription for sin.

Sin was over; the penalty was paid; debts were settled. It didn't take a year, or finally

come into it in the days of some other reformer or something; it was finished right

then.

II KINGS 5 1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto

Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, [but he was] a leper.

II KINGS 5 9 So Naaman came

with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of

Elisha. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him,

saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and

thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou

shalt be clean.

II KINGS 5 11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away,

and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his

God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

II KINGS 5 12 [Are] not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them,

and be clean? So he turned and went away in

a rage.

II KINGS 5 13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, [if] the prophet had bid thee [do some] great thing, wouldest

thou not have done [it]? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

II KINGS 5 14 Then went he down, and dipped

himself seven times in Jordan, according to the

saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he

was clean.


E-33 No, brother, what God does is perfect. We ain't got no business with our minds putting anything to it; just leave it the way it is. God did it. God said it. That settles it. Just take it, or don't know how... If I could explain it, then I'd be equal

with God. I can't explain it; I just believe it. That's all.


That's all I'm asked to do. There's nobody asked to explain it, because it's beyond

our intellectuals. It's beyond our intelligence. It's God Who does it, so it cannot be explained. I just accept it by faith, and say it's my private property,

and I believe it. I cannot explain it.

32 You have to die. You have to die before you can be reborn. Any seed has

to die before it's regenerated again. Unless it dies, it abides alone. A man's got to die to his own thinking. He's got to die to the thinking of anything

but God's Word, and come His way. That's God's ground. We don't meet Him on our thoughts. We meet Him on what He said do. That's God's provided

way for us.

That's the new birth.

...then it'll spring forth new life out of that rotten mess.

...all the human made psychology beat out of them by the Holy Spirit, and lay there till they're rotten to their own ideas,

then they will receive the Holy Ghost.

But as long as there's any hopes for it not to rot, new Life won't come.

The new birth is no different from any other birth; it's a mess.

You ought to seen what mess I was in when I got It. And every once in a while when It comes upon me again, I get messy again with It. I cry, and boo-

hoo, and carry on till I guess I don't look very good to look at, but it... I got

something on the inside of me that's taking me on and on and on and on and on. It's new Life. I don't care what It looks like; I want to know what It is.

That's the main thing.

But now, there's no excuse. There is plenty of Toxin in the house of God.

And It's for a sin cure...

The Lord Jesus took the Toxin of God's Holy Spirit.

He was praying for their forgiveness. The Toxin kept good.

You could not go deeper in hell than He went. You could not suffer harder than He suffered. You could not die

deader than He died.

E-33 But brother, on that first Easter morning, the Toxin went to work. It

broke the seals of death. It smashed the devil in the face. It rolled back the

stone, and the Son of God lived again. He's alive for ever more. The Toxin

worked.


E-34 Oh, brother. You're going to call me a holy-roller anyhow. It still works just as real as It was then. There is a Balm in

Gilead. There's a Toxin for sickness. There's a Toxin for healing of soul

and body.


Don't tell me better. I've been inoculated by Him. It takes the desire of sin out of your heart and puts a hallelujah

there that nothing can compare with It, when you're inoculated. Say, "I don't think I could hold out." Get inoculated

once.

...there came the Serum from heaven like a rushing mighty wind and flaps of fire

burning. And It inoculated a hundred and twenty.


E-40 No matter how much the unbeliever shakes his head and walks

away, that doesn't take away the Toxin. There's plenty of It tonight in the arms of Christ. We pray, Lord, that

You'll inoculate every person here tonight that has a desire to sin in their heart.

Take it away from them, Lord, "My grace is sufficient," said the Holy Spirit.

E-30 Merciful God, Who brought back again our Lord Jesus from the dead,

raising Him up for our justification, that we might look at an empty tomb tonight, and have perfect confidence in Thy

Word to come for this great cure for sin or unbelief... For it is promised by our Lord, that whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe you

receive it, and you shall have it.

But people needs Thy Balm, the Balm of Gilead poured into their soul, the

rich, royal holy Oil of God, called the Holy Spirit. May It saturate every soul here tonight to believe Thee. May they take the prescription that the Apostle

Peter wrote out at the day of Pentecost, and bring repentance to their heart, and

faith to their soul, that they might receive joy unspeakable and full of
