Advising Semesters

• Faculty advisors will assist their advisees by using an early alert software called GradesFirst.

• Using GradesFirst, instructors of all courses will have the ability to send an early alert to a student’s faculty advisor if students, for example,– have excess tardiness/absences– are performing poorly in the course– have a change in attitude, demeanor, etc.

College Transfer Advising Center

• After 3 full semesters of being assigned to their faculty advisors, college transfer students can transition to the College Transfer Advising Center (CTAC) for future advising if... 1. they have completed 30 or more credit hours

AND 2. they have a 2.5 GPA or better

• If a college transfer student does not meet these 2 requirements, they will remain assigned to their faculty advisor until they do
