This range of trailed mower conditioners combines reduced weight and reliability to work well on hilly

terrain. A professional range for mixed farming/livestock operations, these mower conditioners are

particularly well suited for medium size farms equipped with tractors of medium power.

ASSETS OF THE GYRODINE SWIVEL HITCH

- Easier mowing on headlands as well as round obstacles, isolated trees, hedges… The GYRODINE hitch allows mowing square corners without skips for maximum product ivity. The PTO driveline is always straight, so PTO U-joint wear and vibrat ion is minimized, ensuring a long trouble free driveline life.

- The mower can be adapted for use with 540 or 1,000 min-1 PTO tractors. Inver-t ing the GYRODINE gearbox changes input speed. No extra parts to buy.

- The hitch attachment is held in place with support chains supplied as standard.

HOW TO AVOID OBSTACLES

EFFECTIVELYThe mowing unit is art iculated by upwardsloping links to avoid obstacles. The vibra-t ion isolat ion joints will spare you fast idious lubricat ion operat ions such as theheader suspension links.This also ensures long-lived header ground contouring without seizing.

ADAPT THE SWATHING WIDTHAccording to the weather condit ions, you can set the swath width by means ofthe pivot ing rear swath boards.Wide spreading to save passing with a tedder also is an opt ion. Here, specifi cdefl ectors distribute the crop over the whole cutt ing width.

A “PRO” DISC DESIGN- More effi cient in eject ing cut material than a round disc (no crop “swirls” on the discs).

- Greater knife overlap for a cleaner cut in a greater range of crop condit ions.

- A bent knife cannot contact a neighbouring disc.- Reduced risk of foreign objects gett ing caught between two discs.

An opt ional raised skid set is available on these trailed FC mower condit ioners. They enable mowing heights from 6 to 12 cm, which can be very helpful in the presence of stones on the surface or when mowing alfalfa.

EASY ADJUSTMENTFOR CLEVER MOWING

An even cutt ing height is essent ial for an opt imum dry matter output. Asuffi cient height facilitates regrowth and prevents crop from being soiled with earth.

The cutt ing height is adjusted from 30 to 80 mm by only one link rod on the right side of the machine. An easy to read indicator shows the actual cutt ing height.

SUSPENSION: SET BY ONETURN OF THE HANDLE

The ground pressure of the mowing condit ioning unit can be set accor-ding to:- fi rmness of the ground,- uniformity of the fi eld,- risks of impurifying the crop,- working speed.

The suspension is easily adjusted by means of a central crank. Posit ioned at the centre of the cutter head, the fl oatat ion springs enable the machine to rest on the ground with an even pressure over the ent ire width.

WHY CONDITIONING?Conditioning can prove itself to be useful with an uncertain weather forecast, as fast

drying allows mowing between two rainy periods. Therefore you are less dependent on

weather conditions.

An additional conditioner on the mower also shows its advantages for a healthy and

productive livestock. The forage sugar content will be higher, consequently fermentation

will be accelerated and preserve the crop’s value.

SAVINGS IN SIGHT!

Producing a high-quality crop also enables you to reduce purchases of concentrates,

normally the fi rst item in the milk production operational costs. With one tedding pass

less, you will also be able to optimize silage work.

SAVE TIME…By condit ioning, one tedding operat ion less is required. The drying t ime is reduced by 25 to 30 %, i.e. two to three hours! This reduces t ime between mowing and the end of silage operat ions considerably.

…AND GAIN IN FORAGE VALUE- Less leaf loss: with one tedding operat ion less and simultaneous drying of leaves and stalks.- More sugar: gaining t ime means gaining on the sugar level (up to 1 % DM more). As long as cut grass

remains in the fi eld, the sugar level decreases through “breathing”.- More nitrogen: the longer the crop lies on the ground, the lower the nitrogen level.
