BACKGROUNDGagasan ke 3 Ucapan Dasar Y.A.B. Perdana Menteri dalam Perhimpunan Agung UMNO 2006 demanded that National education system emphasis on:
Development of human capitalProduction students insight Establishment of a citizen who master knowledge,
skills and information Programs that develop the human mind in creating
human-chapter Ulul al-bab.

Goalto ensure that children nurtured the spirit of the Malaysian nation with knowledge, skills and competencies, positive values
The national curriculum should be reviewed to ensure a holistic curriculum and is relevant for a balanced human capital that can handle current and future challenges.

TRANSFORMATION OF CURRICULUM
The process of doing a form of holistic changes to the existing school curriculum that involves changing the form, organization, content, pedagogy, time allocation, assessment methods, materials and curriculum management in schools.

CONCEPT OF KSSR (KURIKULUM SEKOLAH RENDAH)
• The concept of KSSR was based on the Falsafah Pendidikan Negara (FPN).
• Based on the principle KBSR: - An integrated approach - Development of a comprehensive individual - Opportunities and the same education quality for all the students - Education for life
CHARACTERISTICS OF HUMAN CAPITAL (primary school)
At the end of primary education, students must have basic skills for everyday life. Among the basic skills are as follows:
Master the basic skills - reading, writing and arithmetic
reasoning skills, creative and innovative Awareness well-being (physical and mental) Trust in God, honourable, and practice good values Self-esteem and patriotism Understand and appreciate the national culture
FORM OF TRANSFORMATION OF CURRICULUM
• Communication – able to use oral language skills in interacting and non-verbal
• Science & Technology - Mastery of scientific knowledge, skills and scientific attitudes -Mastery of mathematical knowledge and skills -Mastery of knowledge and technology-based skills
• Physical Development & Aesthetics - physical development and health for the well-being -Fostering imagination, creativity, talent and appreciation
• Spirituality, Attitude & Values - Appreciation of religious practices, beliefs, attitudes and values
• Humanitarian - share knowledge and practices of the local community and the environment, national and global -Appreciation of patriotism and unity
• Personal skills - Fostering leadership and personal development through curricular and extra-curricular activities

CONTENT STANDARD LEARNING STANDARD
Students should know about what is specific statements and be able to do it in a school term that include the aspect of knowledge, skills and values.
