Overview This document contains information about new features and enhancements included in Spirent 8100 Mobile Device Test System Radio Access: LTE Version 10.0.0.

This document is also available on the Spirent Customer Service Center website: http://support.spirent.com.

New Features The following new features are introduced in this release:

• Spirent Security Agent, which is a Windows application that is installed on the following Spirent 8100 system components: Controller PC Application Server WTS122-CA E2010S Data Client laptop Video Analyzer (if present) Spirent Security Agent automatically disables Microsoft® Security Essentials real-time protection when the Spirent 8100 system is performing tests and automatically enables Microsoft Security Essentials real-time protection when the tests are complete. Spirent Security Agent also monitors the frequency of virus and spyware definitions downloads for Microsoft Security Essentials on the Spirent 8100 system components and allows you to perform full scans with the Microsoft Security Client. If you have not updated the virus and spyware definitions in 60 days, Spirent Security Agent will display a warning.

Enhancements and Fixes The following fixes have been made in this release:

CR # Issue 1358588 WTS122-CA rebooted only after second CP.

1132077 VoLTE Speech Quality (AQ): The test case remains on Eval step (Step 23 of test case 2.1-2.3, 2756-2758). This also occurs in other test cases.

1144448 AQ: Test hangs in between and does not proceed.

1165527 Sometimes the script reports “Eval Fail” error during overnight tests.

1270340 Test Manager stops running. You must kill the process and run the test again.

1212909 VoLTE Speech Quality (AQ): All tests get 0 MOS due to an re-installation issue with the CS8 Development Library UI.

Known Issues This section describes the software-related known issues in this release.

Product WTS122-CA Description In a TDD topology, the VoLTE call is interrupted when the UE is configured

with SPS, ROHC, and DRX. Impact The VoLTE call is disconnected. Workaround None. Disposition Spirent is targeting to fix this issue in a future release.

Product IMS Client Description In Test Manager, one of the following messages appears intermittently:

• Error: Create IMS Client Failed. • Error: Register IMS Client Failed.

Impact The Create IMS client step or Register IMS Client step fails continuously. Workaround Restart the Data Client laptop and run the test again. If this does not work,

contact Spirent Support. Disposition There are currently no plans to fix this issue. Use the workaround specified

above.
