While I am in full agreement that the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is in need of further reform, the changes proposed by the Landrieu administration require further review, as they will likely have a substantial effect on the RTA during the next administration. I realize that the RTA remains in a state of flux following the removal of the executive director and the recent dismissal of several senior members of the Veolia team that operate the RTA. However, given that any permanent changes to RTA’s structure will likely be implemented right before or during the beginning of my administration, I am reticent to see large scale changes to the organization until I have had the opportunity to review these changes in depth and to consider them within my overall priorities, both for the RTA and the city overall. I would respectfully ask that you consider these concerns prior to any vote to accept this proposed restructuring plan. Thank You, Mayor-Elect LaToya Cantrell

Dear Board Members of the Regional Transit Authority:

I write you to express my opposition to the restructuring plan as was it was initially proposed to you on January 23, 2018.

Thank You,

Mayor-Elect LaToya Cantrell
