Ecstasy is a synthetic, psychoactive drug chemically similar to the stimulant

methamphetamine and the hallucinogen mescaline.

Ecstasy (MDMA) produces feelings of increased energy,

euphoria, and distortions in time and perception.

It is most commonly called “molly.”

People who use it do not sleep properly. There is increased heart rate, muscle spasms, and convulsions. It can make you feel paranoid, hostile and anxious even when not high. It increases the rate of heart attack, stroke, seizure, and respiratory failure, any of which can result in sudden death.
