Be sure to check the hosts benefit information on each form to be sure it matches your company.

Always add your personal information to every form, flier or catalog that leaves your office. It always amazes me how many pieces of literature I receive or collect that does not have contact information on it for the consultant who distributed it. It MUST be PERMANENTLY AFFIXED.... Stapling or paper clips do not last long term!

Any time you send or give out a piece of information without your contact information on it, it is about as effective as throwing your money into the garbage can.

The data disk and/or download included in this work book are as follows:

1. Know Your Product Line: (This Excel spread sheet is a separate download or file.) If your company has a sales receipt that includes all of your products in a listing fashion, then use that for your analysis. Highlight each category in a specific color.

2. How to Create Desire: Use these ideas to create sprinkles. Start with one or two and as they become second nature keep adding more.

3. Checklist for host packet: Keep it simple and go over it when you call for your first contact.

4. How To Have a $1000 Show: Change this to meet your companies show average. If the company average is $700 you may want this to say “How to have a $1300 show.” Set the bar at about double the average then talk your host up to it. You can use this as a cover sheet for your host packages. Highlight parts and make personal notes too.

5. How To Have A $450 catalog Show: Again, use this as a cover sheet and modify it to match your business. If average catalog shows in your company are about $200 then $450 would be a good place to inspire your host to shoot for. Be sure to check the host benefit program to meet your business.

6. Sample Invitation Template: This is just a sample. Use it as a starting point. This template is made up of 3 text boxes. It needs to be aligned with your post card format and size. When setting it up, move the boxes all the way to the edges as needed. It will be outside the “print” area, but will still print. The ******* on the template were used to cover up the corporate website or phone number, because you want them to come to you, not the company. This is a sample of what you could do. It will change based on

your companies post card or invitation. Hard copy CDs have an editable file on the data disk.

7. Let’s Think Of 40 People: (A separate file or download that is an Excel spread sheet.) Use this if your company’s host information does not include a section on how to think of more people.

8. Show Tally: A show tally motivates your host to continue to collect sales after the show. I recommend doing them in duplicate at your show, so you have a copy of what you told the host. Remember that you need all three parts (before, during and after the show sales) to have a Cash Flow Show.

9. Prize Drawing Slip: Be sure to do a prize drawing and always check them before you add up orders. These are just samples, make your prize drawing slips, simple and easy to fill out!

10. Post Cards: (The hard copy CDs include the editable files.) It needs to be aligned with your post card format and size. When setting it up, move the boxes all the way to the edges as needed. They should receive it 2 weeks prior to the show.PC3 days: This post card is asking them to do the reminder calls.PC Thank you: Host appreciation is essential. Staying in touch with your host after the show will insure your future. Making your post cards seasonally appropriate is a nice touch. Of course a hand written post card or note would be nice too.

12. Self Affirmations: Your thoughts predict your future. Write out affirmations on a weekly basis and say them 100 times per day.

How to Create Desire & Schedule shows at your show:1. Briefly explain the host benefit package. When you host a show of your own:

you receive free products, half priced items and really big discounts!2. Talk about the host half priced combinations. Hosts have the opportunity to

they hosted a show.14. Create a scheduling/Bookings binder. Use it 3 times at your show. Pass it

around.15. Mentions that past hosts get a 10% discount for a year.16. Treat your host really well. Compliment her in front of the guests. Say thank

you to her at the beginning and end of every show.17. Practice good personal hygiene. Visibly and deliberately wash your hands

before the presentation, and again during the show if you touch something inappropriate. (face, floor, dog, hair, etc.)

18. Talk about the higher priced items which you do not have. Ask guests for testimonials. Develop the testimonial, by asking more questions.

19. Thank all the guests for coming. Smile a lot!20. Have FUN. Do not take yourself too seriously.21. Do a prize drawing. Tell them to fill it out completely. Tell them to check

Keep The Party Plan Hostess Pack Simple!Don’t make your hostess pack too overwhelming for the host! Whether you put it in a plain envelope or create some kind of fancy bag make sure that the contents are easy for you to explain during hostess coaching and appealing to the hostess so that she actually reads the material.

When you make your first hostess coaching call, ask them to get the party plan hostess pack and go over it with them one flier at a time.

Pre-Printed Invitations

This is an example of how to pre-print invitations using text boxes to match your party plan company invitations. It is something that you need to pay around with to get it right, but once you do, it will be simple to create each hostess's invitations.

In the case of these invitations the text boxes were all the way to the edge of the print area and an erro pops up saying that it is 'outside the print area'.

Most likely you will need to 'print outside the print area'....If you print anyway it works fine.

Another way to go is with labels if you prefer.

The Post Cards

You can configure a page to include 4 post cards per page landscaped (similarly to the pages that follow) for easy copying.

It is cheaper to take your original to the copy store and run of a few hundred using the card stock you buy at the office store than it is to print them out of your own computer.

They do not have to be in color.

Always write personal notes on each post card.

I recommend copying them on brightly colored card stock and using the same color for each card all the time.

For example: Confirmation is always on blue, etc.

You can usually get a package of card stock with 5 fluorescent colors mixed. It is cheaper to run the copies at the copy store than on your coputer.

In order to have a show average which is double your company average, you will want to call your host and send them a post card three times after they received the host package and before the show takes place.

Solutions To The Biggest Mistakes Made By Home Party Consultants

1. Most home party consultants think that host coaching is being pushy. This could not be further form the truth. In a survey done by the Direct Selling industry, of all home party shows, it was found that the overwhelming complaint of the hosts was that they did not hear from the consultant enough. I actually had first hand experience of this. The one and only show I ever hosted, I had to call the sales consultant and ask for the catalogs, then call again and get more, and call again and ask to get the show submitted. I was beginning to wonder if I should have been earning the commission. You are the expert and the hosts are looking for you to teach them how to have a good show. Remember: good shows mean better host benefits and happy hosts. Happy hosts tell their friends how terrific you are.

2. Most home party consultants try to talk people into hosting shows or signing up to be consultants. This is doing just the opposite of what you want. When you try to convince instead of attract, you actually put up a wall between you and your potential host or consultant. When you are excited about your business, product and services, you will attract the people who want to do business with you. Always play the numbers. It is all about sharing with enthusiasm and taking no for what it is. Never try to talk someone into doing business with you.

3. Most home party reps talk to much period. Your side of any conversation should be 10 seconds or less and always end in a question. When someone shows an interest in you, your product, services, or opportunity do not talk like the every ready bunny…and keep going, and going, and going….. share a tid-bit and ask a question that gives you more information about them. If you hear yourself talking more than 10 seconds, then just pop out any question. Even if it doesn’t relate, it doesn’t matter.

4. Most home party consultants do not have a plan for their show. A Cash Flow Show will not happen by accident. Have you thought out your presentation?

5. Most home party reps do not use available support. When was the last time you talked to their up line? Do you go to meetings? As a director and trainer with a premier home party company, I can tell you that the number of people who take advantage of the experience and trainings provided by the up-line and/or home office are about 1 in 10. That is pretty sad. This is usually FREE support, training and mentoring. If you could do one thing different to improve your performance it would be to get active in your company. If there was a $100 dollar bill on the side walk would you pick it up, or walk buy it? When you pass by on the support, your are passing by n the money too.

6. Most home party representatives do not like to use the phone. This is a phenomenon which I find hard to understand. The phone is your cash register, the more you make it ring, (both incoming and out going calls) the more money you are making. I am amazed that people would even consider

doing a home business if they hate to use the phone. Or does the aversion come after. Either way, ringing the cash register in any home party plan is as important as it is in the mini-market on the corner.

7. Most home party sales consultant are needers instead of leaders. When you act like you need the potential host or consultant, then they are not interested. When you act like a leader, you will attract people who want what you have to offer. When you act like you have a dynamite product, service, or opportunity and you know it and it doesn’t mater if they want it or not, because you will be successful with or without them, then they will desire what you have.

8. Most home party reps do not invest in their own growth. When you invest time and money into personal growth on a regular basis, you will become a successful entrepreneur who can drive his/her own destiny. It has been said that when an individual studies his or her chosen trade for an hour a day; that person will attain the status of top 5 % in their chosen field within a year. As an example when I quit my cooperate job to enjoy a life at home, I invested most of my spare time into education and was rewarded with becoming one of the top 20 people in the whole United States in personal sales with in my company of 67,000 consultants.
