Product Specifications for GlassCraft Renaissance Lites® Door InsertsProducts included in the Renaissance® Lites Series program are included in our Renaissance Lites® Series color product catalog, and have the following specifications:

1) These GlassCraft products are fiberglass door lite frames. These frames offer the look and feel of real wood.

2) Two wood grain species are available: Oak and Cherry/Mahogany. Not all frame profiles are available in all wood grains.

3) These frames are only available unfinished. Finishing is only available when the door lites are installed into door slabs.

4) These door lite frames will fit any fiberglass or steel door slabs with a thickness of 1-3/4" (44mm) nominal thickness.

5) All glass panels used in these frames are 1 inch thick.

6) Four types of Renaissance Lites® door inserts are available:

•FerraLites™ - a patented product that uses a double-thick IG glass panel and a real wrought iron grill mounted to the exterior of the frame.

•VinciLites™ - a patented product that incorporates a wrought-iron-look recycled product inserted between two glass panels in a "GBG" or grille-between-the-glass installation.

•VitriLites™ - feature a real hand-made leaded and beveled glass decorative panel inserted between two tempered glass panels as a triple-thickness insulated glass unit.

•PrivacyandClearGlass-featuresadouble-thicknessinsulatedglasspanelonly.....noGBGgrilleorwroughtironorbeveledglass...and is available in clear, fluted, and rain glass options.

7) The door insert frames are available as "frames only"...no glass installed.

8) All Renaissance Lites® products can be shipped via UPS in individual specially-designed packing boxes.

9) Frames are assembled using a metal screw inserted from the "inside" side of the frame. A fiberglass plug is used to cover the screw. Plugs are available separately.

Shipment and Packaging of Door Lite Inserts

Individual GlassCraft Renaissance Lites® door inserts are packaged in specially-designed boxing to reduce shipment damage and ensure safe delivery of your door lite. All box packing systems have been tested and approved for shipment by United Parcel Service (UPS).

Energy Star

GBG VinciLites™ and Iron FerraLites™

The door and sidelite configurations shown on the chart below in light gray meet or exceed the Energy Star requirements. Full Lite and certain 3/4 Lite doors (dark gray) do not qualify for Energy Star. VinciLites™ are triple-layered IG glass, and the VitriLites™ and VinciLites™ are double-layered IG glass panels.

Two of our Renaissance Lites® products offer the look of wrought iron.

Our FerraLites™ products offer real, hand-made wrought iron grilles. Each is slightly different from the next. These iron grilles are powdercoated a rustic-black color for exterior installations. These grilles are mounted on the exterior side of the door-lite frame using our multi-patented mounting system that is exclusive to GlassCraft Door Company. This mounting system allows the user to open the grill in either direction to allow for easy cleaning of the glass behind the iron grille. And these grilles can be secured in place, and be non-opening, by tightening a set screw supplied in each hinge.

Our VinciLites™ products offer the look of wrought iron in a GBG or grille-between-the-glass product configuration. These grilles are produced using a recycled polymer in a multi-patented product configuration and with a patented production method. As the grille is sealed between 2 pieces of tempered safety glass, then the grilles will never fade or discolor.

Glass Options: Both the FerraLites™ and the VinciLites™ are available in your choice of three glass panel textures.....clear, rain, or fluted. Please refer to our "Glass and Glass Panels Product Guide" for more information.
