Week 3 Scholastic Book Fair
6th, 7th & 8th November Borambola Excursion
Welcome back to Term 4 The students have come back to school with positive attitudes and we have not wasted any time getting them back into their learning.
On Monday I travelled to Weethalle for SCOPE training with our Small Schools Network (RIEN) teachers. The focus was on giving quality feedback to students to enhance their learning. It was a very productive day and I am looking forward to implementing my learning from this training into the classroom.
This week we welcome Amber Foster into our school as a casual learning support officer.
Yesterday students enjoyed making a variety of cards with her as part of craft activities and we thank Amber for all the effort in organising and bringing in her resources to do something special with the kids. I know the students really enjoyed it.
Sun Safety This week we have started the ‘No Hat No Play’ rule so please make sure your children have a broad-brimmed hat to use when they are out in the playground. The school provides plenty of sunscreen so please make use of it. We are expecting many sunny days this term so it is best to be prepared.
Primary Excursion to Borambola Sport and Recreation Camp Students attending the excursion need to have their online medical and dietary forms completed by the end of the week. Please see the attached information sheet for details and website address.

Book Fair in Week 3 Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held during Week 3 of term, Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November. Further details regarding the viewing times will be provid-ed next week.
Josh Hawkins was the winner of the children’s trivia the last week of Term 3 and Megan Waters, Matilda Osborne and Chloe Andrews also answered correctly. In rugby league there are six tackles before the changeover. The adult trivia was won by Jack Fisher. If you followed the Bright Angel Trail down the Colorado River you would be visiting The Grand Canyon. Good luck with this week’s questions:
Adult question: Boo Boo is the constant companion of
which cartoon character?
Children’s question: In which state or territory would you find Coober Pedy?
TRIVIA CORNER
