Holy Week Missions Very ofter I hear people say that “ I am a
Christian” by that they mean they have accepted
Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and that
they have turned their lives around. That is good,
but a Christian is much more than that. A
Christian is a missionary.”Go, therefore, and
make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I have commanded you” (Mat 28, 19-20).
In our daily life, we try our best to follow Christ’s command. On
Holy Week, here at St. Matthew we do something special, a
community mission. We have friends who come all the way from
Cumming to participate in this Holy Week Missions. I am sending a
personal invitation to you to join us in that mission. Below is our
schedule. Please, if you cannot be there all three days consider at
least one day.
MISSION T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE FOR $ 10.00 (limited amount available)
HOLY THURSDAY : March 29, 2018 3 pm~Hedges Hall-Fr. Exume will bless us and our crosses to “SEND” us off
on our “MISSION to EVANGELIZE”.
4 pm~2 groups: Group #1 Russell Village Mobile Home Park- 478 Midland Ave.Winder

Will carry 8ft. tall wooden crosses collecting prayer requests while we go door-to-
door to hand out flyers inviting people to Holy Week Services. (write a prayer
request on an index card, fold in half for privacy, staple to Cross).
5:30 pm~ St. Matthew for “tailgate” meal ( Bring a bagged meal and drink)
7:00 pm ~ Mass of the Lord’s Supper.

New Members: We are delighted to have you join our parish family! Registration forms are available in the narthex and in the parish office. They can be mailed, turned into the parish office, or dropped in the collection basket. Come by the church office for a Welcome Packet. Mass Intentions: Please stop by the parish office to offer a Mass intention for a loved one. Baptism: Family must be registered and participate in the life of the Parish. For more information on specific requirements, baptismal preparation, class dates and available Baptism dates, contact the parish office.
Matrimony: Arrangements must be made at least six months prior to the wedding date. Couples must schedule an appointment with the parish priest to secure a date on the parish calendar and begin preparation. Hospital/Homebound/Nursing Homes: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion take communion to the homebound. Family members should call the parish office to inform us about those who are ill.
Altar Flower Donations: To honor or memorialize a loved one with a gift of altar flowers, call or stop by the parish office. Arrangements are $75.
Bulletin and Pulpit Announcements: Items to be published in the bulletin or announced during Mass are due in the parish office by 9:00AM on FRIDAY the week before they are to be published.

Religious Education
Classes 2018-19
Please mark your calendar! We will be
registering children for the upcoming 2018-19
school year every Sunday after all Masses and on
Tuesday from 5:00pm-7:00pm starting on April 8th
in the Religious Education Building. A $35 tuition
fee per family is required at the time of registration
and for grades 1st-5th, a book fee of $20.
Mark your calendar for a day of great fun
with your family! On May 6th starting at
11:00am, St. Matthew will have a kermes
(festival). There will be delicious food, live
music, dancing, fun games, soccer
tournament, raffles, and more. Hope to see
you there! Proceeds to benefit Burn the
Mortgage.
Thank you for you continuous support for this
charitable ministry. In February you support
helped 29 needy families in the community with
their utility bills, rent and other needed
expenses. SVdP also assisted 15 families with
food. Without your support this would not
happen. We are in need for other disciples to
assist in the ministry. Our next meeting will be
Monday, March 26 at 7:00 PM in Hedges
Hall. Our help line number is 770-868-5100

estaremos inscribiendo niños para el próximo año escolar 2018-19. Las
inscripciones se llevaran a cabo en el Edificio de Educación Religiosa
todos los domingos después de cada Misa y los martes de 5:00-7:00pm.
La cuota al momento de inscripción es de $35 por familia y para los
grados de Kinder-5to el costo de $20 por libro.

Requisitos Para Bautizar Tiene que estar registrado y ser miembro
activo de la parroquia

Los padrinos deben ser Católicos practicantes y deben estar

Si los padrinos no son miembros de
nuestra iglesia tendrán que presentar una carta de la iglesia a la que asisten

clases de preparación pre-bautismal
Haya cumplido 16 años, esté comfirmado, haya recibido ya el
Santísimo Sacramento de la Eucaristía y lleve, al mismo tiempo, una vida congruente con la fe y con la misma que va a asumir.
Requisitos Para Casarse Haga una cita previa con el sacerdote por lo menos 6 meses antes de fijar la fecha del matrimonio.
