Workshop Organization The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for East Asian researchers, engineers, and students to exchange their new ideas and to introduce their latest activities in the field of the marine environmental engineering and management. The workshop was originally organized by the Marine Environmental Committee, the Society of Naval Architects of Japan (MEC-SNAJ) & the Korean Society for Marine Environmental Engineering (KOSMEE) in 2003. In 2005, Taiwan joined the workshop, which was extended by East Asian Workshop for Marine Environments (EAWOMEN). In 2009, China joined the workshop. This workshop has been held every 2 years. Between workshops, we have sessions in the IEEE/MTS Oceans-Asia Conference like in OCEANS’06 Singapore, OCEANS’08 Kobe and OCEANS’10 Sydney.
