Diet can affect hair loss!
B-group vitamins in particular biotin are crucial for healthy hair.A deficiency in manganese, or other minerals such as silica andzinc, may also contribute to hair loss. Eating a healthy diet ortaking a supplement with a range of co-factors such as folic acid, iron and betacarotene can assist with healthy hair growth. Adeficiency in essential fatty acids may result in dry, brittle hair andpossibly hair thinning or loss. The omega-3 fatty acids found infish oil are especially important. Almonds, wholegrains andavocados are rich in essential fatty acids.

Tips for a better life
Here is what the experts say:
Deakin University NutritionExpert Dr Tim Crowe
Go for colour: Eating red, green, yellow, purple, white andorange fruits and vegetablesmeans you are getting disease-
fighting nutrients.
Listen to your appetite: Eatingwhen you are not hungry can bea main reason for gradual weightgain.
Something fishy: Eat fish atleast twice a week. Its Omega-3oils are good for the heart, mayhelp fight depression and reducethe risk of some cancers.
Heart Foundation
Raise your beat:Put your heartthrough its paces with at least 30minutes of physical activity suchas walking or cycling on mostdays.
Fitness Australia CEO IanGranger
Keep moving:Walk rather thandrive; run or cycle if you can; usestairs rather than lifts.
Break time: Plan an exercisebreak in your busy day.
Mix well:Do different exercisesand activities on different daysand pick exercises you enjoy.
