Reading Read the Common Lit article “3 Ways to Learn About Consumer Power” and how we can make good choices when we buy things. Then do your best answering the questions. It’s located in Ms. Proctor’s Google Classroom under the Classwork tab. Remember, the website can read the article to you.

For a low tech option: The passage and questions are attached pages 7-10. Submit however is convenient for you!

*Highly Suggested* Watch this video about Facts and Opinions by clicking the link or viewing in Google Classroom (same video you’ll need for the Jeopardy Game in the next square). Then, read the persuasive article and answer the questions in the TikTok Assignment on Google Classroom under the Classwork Tab. There is also a post of me reading the TikTok article and questions if it helps you. Remember to turn in or share your answers with me when done.

For a low tech option: Read the article and answer the questions on the attached pages 4-6. Submit however is convenient.

Watch this video about Facts and Opinions by clicking the link or in Google Classroom. Then, play a Jeopardy game about Facts & Opinions. If playing alone, set it to 1 team, and click start. Give yourself points by clicking + if you get a question right, and - if you got it wrong! Reveal answers with Space and go back with ESC. Feel free to reset it and play again. Enter your Jeopardy Score into the Google Classroom Assignment under Ms. Proctor’s Classwork tab and Turn In, or email/share with her.

For a low tech option: Watch the video, then see the attachment on pg 3. Simply write F or O next to each question and submit to me however is convenient.

Writing *Highly Suggested*Watch the video lesson in Google Classroom over persuasive writing strategies. Then watch this short video Donut over this weeks assignment. Finally, complete the persuasive writing assignment that is in Google Classroom. Titled Design a Donut. Low Tech option create a poster over the assignment and email it to Mr. Alloway

First watch the video over compound sentences that I've placed in Google Classroom. Then complete the Google Forms over compound sentences that I’ve also placed in Google Classroom.

First,watch this video to see what your Dinosaurassignment is about. Then read the revising editing passage titled Dinosaur Valley State Park. I’ve placed in Google Classroom. Once you’ve answered the questions, hit the turn in button. Low Tech Option. You may print it out and return to Mr. Alloway.

STEMscopes: Go to Stemscopes on MyHumble and login just the same as you do for MyHumble. Work your way through the assignments, clicking the green “turn in” button as you finish each one. There are 3 short assignments to complete.

Book cover design:Design a cover for a book about an animal with strange traits.Choose one animal and identify its strange traits.Determine if each of the traits are learned or inherited.Describe how the traits are used in the wild.(This can be factual or imaginary, but be sure to have 3 traits described & whether inherited/acquired.) Take a picture & share with your teacher.

Bullock Museum interactive presentation:“Myths & Mysteries of TX Revolution”” This will be a zoom meeting and a link will be provided. The lesson is on May 15th at 11:00 am. This is NOT required, but we would love it if you can attend. We apologize if it conflicts with any other scheduled meetings, but Bullock sets the schedule.
