About the Summer School The fourth summer school on Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD) provides an intensive and exciting week of lectures on advanced aspect-oriented topics in the context of programming languages, analysis and design, formal methods and application domains. The summer school brings together PhD students and lecturers as well as other researchers and practitioners who are interested in aspect-oriented software development. The tutorials are given by renowned representatives of each domain of expertise. Each tutorial combines foundations, examples and advanced topics as well as hands-on sessions when appropriate. Schedule The schedule contains different courses spread over five days on the following topics: Introduction to AOSD Principles of Aspect Oriented Programming Languages Aspect Oriented Requirements Engineering Aspect Oriented Architectures Formal Methods for AO AO Middleware & Applications A Broader Perspective on AOSD A student poster session will be organised as well to give students the opportunity to present their research to experts in the field of AOSD. About the Venue The Summer School is organized by the Computer Science Department of the Ecole des Mines de Nantes. Nantes is located in western Europe, in France, at about 60 km from the seaside. The town lies on three rivers: the Loire, which is the longest river of France, the Erdre, and the Sèvre. Nantes and its neighborhood host more than half a million inhabitants.
